Good: great location! Walkable to all of King Street and beyond. Easy access to the 26 & 17 The door staff was courteous as was the valet. Bad: THE TOILET WOULD NOT FLUSH PROPERLY. IT WAS GROSS. I had to flush many times to get it empty, always!

Property is old but very clean. I love that we had 2 bathrooms in the deluxe double with harbor views. The staff was nice. Perfect location for a wonderful and affordable price because for traveling midweek.

Our three night stay at the Francis Marion Hotel was very pleasant. A very good value compared to other hotels. It is an older hotel but well appointed. Great staff. The restaurant was not fancy but the food was very good and reasonable. There is a $20/ night parking fee.we used Uber and the bikes to get around.

The hotel is beautiful but the rooms are a little dated. The carpet in our room was wet throughout a good portion of the room. We only were staying for one night and didn’t notice until after we had settled in so we just made sure to wear shoes at all times. I did notify the front desk on the way out so they could address it. The location is perfect for strolling throughout the Charleston shopping district.

Loved the hotel though some aged traces in many places. Bathroom doors are not closing completely and locks didn't work. But overall, I recommend this hotel for staying in Charleston. It is located in the middle of the busy area and can walk to almost everywhere in the city. Also loved the lobby area. It looked gorgeous.

Charming old hotel on edge of historic Charleston. Super convenient to shops, historical sites, dining, etc. we had a corner room with great views of the adjacent park. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Bathroom showed a little wear but every thing was clean and worked great. Highly recommend!
