What I liked about this property was that it was right in the centre of Bourton-on-the-Water.
What I didn't like was the accessibility to the limited & very compact parking area to the rear of the building. Parking in this location (if not in the B&B parks) is either expensive, restricted or non-existent. Also, on a busy Saturday (when we checked in), with so many tourists in town, the lane to the rear of the building was completely filled with people, making it impossible to identify. This was a hard property to locate (on a busy day). On a week day, this may be a completely different situation.
This was the smallest room we had during our month long trip around the UK, and had minimal power outlets. The property is old, & to a certain degree, poorly maintained. Room wasn't very big - our one suitcase had to squeeze in between the wall & the corner of the bed - I had to step over the suitcase to get out from my side of the bed. Bathroom was also very compact and the shower door leaked every time we used it, no matter how careful we were. Passageway to our room had a funky smell about it, that multiple reed diffusers were used in an attempt to camouflage. This just made it worse. In making this comment, I must admit we did not complain about this at the time of our visit.
On the plus side, bed was nice and comfy. It was quiet. Breakfasts were good & we had lovely chats with our fellow guests. Lots of options for evening meals within walking distance.
