We stopped in at 12:30 to check in early we were told the pet rooms were not ready yet but 2 other customers without reservations were allowed to check in. We came back after 3 and were told by the extremely rude front desk lady 7/23/25 at 330 pm that we did not book a pet room, and we needed to call Expedia Expedia cs tried to call Red Lion as instructed no one would answer the phone. I talked to the rude front desk as she was the only person checking in guests with a line of 12-15 people waiting as she screamed at me you need to cancel your room I do not have a room for you. I do not have time to answer the phone. Talked to other guests that did not get to check in until 11 pm. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Awful experience!

In town for CFD. Check in was at 3:00. We arrived at 3:30 and saw tons of people just sitting in the lobby. Staff advised that rooms were not ready because they were short staffed. They said they would call us when our room was ready. We waited until 5:30 and never received a call, so we went back to the hotel. We were then given a key to a "king bed room". When we arrived at the room, it had no front door. Apparently maintenance was replacing the door, but no one mentioned that to us. Additionally, we were supposed to get a king bed, and this room has a queen (or possibly even a full - it was tiny). Super disappointing and not even a "Sorry" from the staff. They acted like they were doing us a service just by being there. I asked if our room would be discounted due to all of the trouble and they said "no, because then we would have to give everyone a discount". If you can find alternate accomodations, I'd highly suggest doing so!

Room was not ready when we arrived at 4:00. We went for dinner, and room still was not ready at 6:00. The room was clean, but we were not allowed to occupy it because there were no towels in the bathroom. We had to change and get ready for our evening event in the lobby’s public restrooms, which was gross. We paid close to $400/night, and certainly expected our room to be ready by check in time, which is 3:00. There was no daily housekeeping service either.

The staff was extremely polite, especially since we booked during frontier days and there was only one person working the front desk. There was some debris from renovations in places like the elevator. The hallway was extremely hot, but the AC in the rooms was wonderful. We did not partake in the breakfast, my son has social anxiety and it was set up so you would have to snake your way across the seating area to get to the food and it was pretty crowded due to the rodeo folks staying.

Check in was rough due to a busy time with Cheyenne frontier days going on. They finally got room ready. The area was cool but the shuttle was awesome! Doing renovations so they get a pass on that! Bar and food options were good too
