I regularly stay at the Carlton of Oak Park when I travel to the Chicago area. The hotel has a vintage charm that some might find outdated. It was a bit chilly in the room during the winter. Regardless, it is a beautiful place and the location is conveniently located with access to great amenities.

It was cold in Chicago and the furnaces definitely could not keep up with warming the room it was cold the whole time. The sink was at the level of my thigh...it was ridiculously low. The hotel was short-staffed, there was no coffee anywhere in the morning offered... There was hair on the bathroom floor that was not mine.
