Very poor communication

The house and the furnishings are lovely. However, even though the host asked me to text if there was any need, I had asked for the cell number twice and never got it. There was no posted info for the Wifi password or about where to park. 8 hours later (the next day) Nicoll sent me the password - but no info about the parking. Turns out the wifi does work, but it’s not connected to the internet! That makes it useless. We figured out the parking ourselves and went down the alley and parked in back, but no help from the host. I do not like to complain, but all this info could have been on a printed sheet waiting for us when we arrived. These annoyances add up to a poor experience. It’s hard to know how to give this place an overall rating as the house itself is nice, but it’s a real disappointment for the host to be so non communicative.

Great place in Oak Park

This was a lovely home where several adult family members stayed during a busy long weekend in Chicago. It was comfortable and well-equipped with easy/free parking in back. I was a little concerned up until the day of check-in because I had not received any communication from the owner; however, once the communication began, she was very attentive and very accommodating. We loved this place and will check it out again if it's available the next time we go to Chicago.

Nice Home in Oak Park

The 2 floor half of a duplex suited us well: two couples, a child and me - 6 people in 4 rooms. The property is in a lovely neighborhood and was clean and well-appointed. I enjoyed the collection of art and antiques - thoughtful and enjoyable.

We were a bit disappointed in the property, amenities (or lack thereof) and left detailed sggestions for Nicoll Garry to make further stays more enjoyable. The lack of free wi-fi and kitchen amenities were the most troublesome. The location was good for our purposes, having grown up in the neighboring towns.

Wonderful for families

We have family and friends all over the Chicago suburbs so we make this trip yearly. This was an amazing experience! Comfortable beds, great layout, tastefully decorated- the sun porch was a bonus. Owner was accommodating. Will stay again.

So Cute and Cozy!

This property was adorable! Beds were comfy and the all rooms were decorated very cute. Nice and quiet neighborhood. Only issue was there was no WiFi instructions (so no TV) or what was needed to do upon checkout. I know this is a newer rental, so maybe the host is just figuring things out. If ever going to Oak Park, will definitely stay here again!
