The property was nice and clean and the staff was pretty helpful. The one complaint I have is that I think RIU should tell their guest once they check in that they have to make reservations for the roof top. The roof top was one of my reasons for booking this hotel and I wasn’t told that I have to make reservations until the next day when I asked about going to the rooftop. Well to my surprise when I was given the information to book my reservations, the rooftop was booked both days that I was there so I never got a chance to visit it.

The Staff at the RIU was outstanding....Everything from the check in process to questions about the facility was done with the highest level of customer service....BTW, The roof top was top notch...Great service there as well.

Las instalaciones del hotel están muy bien, al igual que el desayuno rico y variado, en general, el personal es atento, salvo la mucama que un día retiró dos toallitas de baño que llevaba, otro día no dejó café y otro día no dejó toallas para manos. Excelente ubicación, el internet bien aunque costó trabajo conectarnos.

At check-in, Alexander at the front desk was very personable and helpful. There is a public parking garage immediately across the street which made it really convenient. The hotel also offered a discount for the parking. The room is spacious and clean. The rooftop on the 27th floor has amazing views. The glass platform is really cool. I would definitely stay at this Riu hotel in Chicago again.
