Place was very nice.. Downstairs neighbors were unexpected but absolutely no harm. Host was attentive when questions were asked. Can't beat the price for a very nice 3 bdrm. Overall my family and I were very happy and would definitely recommend

Originally the listing did not say there was a shared basement and you must park on the street. Space was clean and looked as pictured. However you can hear everything that the person down stairs is doing. There are also high pitch pest repeller plug ins in the kitchen they are quite loud when you are in there.

We were disappointed from the moment we walked in. There were cockroaches in the house starting on our very first day and we thought it was just a random one-off… but the infestation got worse, with roaches appearing daily throughout the home. We later found out the owner was already aware of the issue, yet we weren’t told about it prior to our booking, which was really upsetting. Had we known, we would have chosen somewhere else to stay.We spent days trying to kill the roaches ourselves, hoping the problem would stop, but it only escalated. Because it was the holiday season and our first time visiting Illinois, trying to find another place last-minute was extremely stressful, and options were very limited. The home simply wasn’t clean, comfortable, or livable for us to stay in.The condition of the rental when we arrived did not meet basic expectations. Cleanliness and transparency matter, and unfortunately this stay missed the mark on both.We ended up vacating the unit a few days earlier due to this issue. We wouldn’t stay in this rental and hope future guests are given honest communication ahead of time.

The place was very outdated and dirty with roaches. I reached out in day 1 to vrbo and i was told someone would contact me and didn't. It was the worst stay ever.

This place was not clean infected with roaches after the owner said he had exterminate professional the place prior to me visiting. I purchase over 200 of groceries that all were either thrown away and or given away to family members who stay only 1 day due to the roaches. I also left early due to this infested place. The owner just said he had it done professionally exterminated. The prior rating was a hint for me but was within days of arriving at the place and of course lost all my money because it was too late to cancel.Vrbo at no time attempted to look into this matter in which I have describe, if fact I’m finding they would like to edit my review which I believe is wrong. I have attempted to get a live person to hear my complaint but to no avail. I plan on seeking legal help for causing my child to have to go to emergency and want feeling well after staying in this home.
