Perfect accommodations for our family visiting for a wedding. Spacious open floor plan was terrific and allowed everyone to easily gather together for eating and games. Modern updates throughout and the kitchen had all the necessities. Beds were comfortable and home was extremely clean throughout. There was an issue with the heat when we arrived, but Amanda rapidly arranged for delivery of additional space heaters until the system could be repaired. We greatly appreciated how responsive the host was with all communications throughout our 8-day stay. Would definitely rent again.

Comfortable and spacious home away from home! We already tried to book this again for next Christmas (we sold our home in the area so stayed here to still visit friends and family). Host is very responsive, beds comfortable and it's great if you have teens/older kids to have the separate lower level bedroom, office, second family room and shower.

Definitely 5 stars! Wonderful house very well stocked with anything you could need. My family was in town for a wedding and it was the perfect location. Has a cute little playground just down the street and close to the train station and Cantigny. The hostess was very gracious and had many unexpected extras in the house. Super clean and all the mattresses were very comfortable. We had the best experience!

This is the second time we’ve rented this property to visit family in the area. The best feature is the kids area in the lower level. Bunk beds, game room with tv and pull out sofa and full bath. Also love having coffee provided! We will definitely rent this property again!

Great Gathering Place for Cousins

Our mothers were McEwens - raised on a dairy farm in PA, and we came to Chicago to celebrate their Scottish Heritage. The Chicago Scots were honoring clan MacEwen this year at their Scottish Games. We came from all across the USA to represent our mothers. This home was the perfect place to stay together. It is large, clean, and beautifully appointed. It is an ideal place for a gathering: it has everything that is stated in the description. We found it to be very comfortable, like the bedding and sitting area. Be aware that it is a split level home, but most of the bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, open kitchen, dining room, and sitting room, are all on one main level. Sadly we did not get to use the beautiful back yard due to rain and being so busy at the games. The game room in the basement would have been perfect for younger relatives (our average age is 70), alas, they could not join us for this. This beautiful home was close to everything we did this weekend. The owner was informative, and helpful whenever I reached out to her. We would stay here again.
