Whether you’re looking for a quiet weekend away, visiting family, exploring southern Ohio, or traveling with your horses for your next riding adventure, we’d love to welcome you.

The Barn combines rustic character with the comforts of home, creating a relaxed place to settle in after a day of exploring. Wake up to quiet country mornings, enjoy your coffee while watching horses graze nearby, listen to the sounds of the farm, and end your evening beneath a sky full of stars.

Traveling with horses? Bring them along!

As a horse owner and trail rider myself, I especially love welcoming fellow equestrians. With advance arrangements, guests traveling with their own horses can inquire about overnight accommodations for their horses while enjoying the convenience of staying right here on the property.

And if you’d like to experience some of the beautiful riding our area has to offer, I also offer optional trail-guiding services to local bridle parks. Instead of trying to figure out unfamiliar trails on your own, you can have a local rider help you discover some of our favorite places to ride in southern Ohio. Please make sure you discuss these activities with me for your stay to make plans for horse accommodations, trailer needs, availability, and guided riding options.

Even if you aren’t traveling with horses, there’s plenty to love about Cairn Creek. The property offers the peaceful feeling of being tucked away in the country while still keeping you within easy reach of Chillicothe and the surrounding area’s restaurants, shops, historic sites, parks, hiking, and outdoor recreation.
