Lovely hotel in an old country mansion. Beautiful grounds. Very helpful staff able to assist in booking tours. Quiet location 15 min walk into town and slightly closer to train station. Our room was small, but nice. Comfortable bed. Dinner in the restaurant was really delicious.

Everything was lovely. The bathroom was a little old and didn’t have a shower curtain so the floor got very wet. But it was a lovely stay. The room also had a bit of an overpowering smell of artificial cherry’s/berries which is fine. But just a little over powering with an artificial smell. But the room was very clean and if I was in the area I would stay here again!

A lovely small hotel with bar only 10 mins walk from the centre .Although no food allowed in the room. There is a pleasant covered area at the back of the hotel where we picnicked both days. The rooms are practical and clean.

This hotel is in a great location of Chinon. It's great that they had parking and an outdoor patio. To note, I got yelled at for arriving at 9:30pm (21h30). Apparently hotels don't have a full time concierge. North Americans are used to arriving before 11pm (23h00) so this was a shock to me. The room was filled with spiders and spider webs. It was absolutely disgusting. The shower contains mold. The room was very outdated. When I brought this up to the host, she insisted they weren't there before. Not only had she lied about the condition of the room, when she had a couple of them removed, the spiders stayed behind. Very disappointing and I would not recommend staying here if you want a clean and comfortable stay.

Aix les Bains / Chinon / une escale agréable

Cet hôtel et ses propriétaires sont au service de leur clientèle. Super accueil… voiture bien en sécurité avec un parking privatif fermé. Literie très confortable et malgré un mercure négatif à l’extérieur nous avions bien chaud dans la chambre. Petit déjeuner sympa. Excellent choix en ce qui nous concerne.

Très bonne adresse pour une étape.

Bon rapport qualité-prix pour cet hotel simple mais très bien tenu. Accueil sympathique et efficace. Seul bémol : l’isolation phonique. On entend les bruits des chambres et de l’escalier.
