So this is priced like the peninsula, however itā€™s just not there. The mattress is very good, the rooms are large, but the upkeep and standards arenā€™t there. I had used toiletries in the room and intermittent hot water. (Iā€™m a western traveller) That said. The service is really good. The staff will go whatever mile you need them to. They are patient and kind. Stay here if the location is good for you, and youā€™re okay with a hotel thatā€™s mostly tolerable, but roughly around the edges.

GOOD INFRACSTRUCTURE BUT NOT MENTIONED GOOD

ROOMS SMELLING VERY BAD ALL THE TIME. IRRESPECTIVE OF ROOM FRESHENER SPRAYS MANY TIMES, IT SMELLS BAD. HOTEL STAFF, NEVER FULFILL THEIR COMMITMENT, WHEN ASKED FOR CAB, EVERY BODY TRYING MAKE MORE MONEY OUT OF THE OPPORTUNITY. FIRST I WAS INFORMED FOR 3500 BDT FOR SHORT TOUR, THEN I WAS INFORMED HOURLEY 400 BDT, THEN LATE EVNING I WAS INFORMED 5500 BDT FOR FULL DAY. NEXT DAY MORNING, RATES CHANGED, TO 8500 BDT. SINCE I WAS IN HURRY AND CAN NOT MAKE ANY LAST MOMENT ARRANGEMENTS OF CAB, I WAS LEFT WITH NO OPTION BUT TO PAY MORE MONEY. MY DRIVE WAS NOT MORE THAN 70 KM FOR ENTIRE DAY. MOST PATHETIC BEHAVIOUR IS BY THE MANAGER, WHO BLAMED ME FOR NOT ABLE TO PICK 02 CLINETS FROM AIRPORT BECAUSE I BOOKED THEIR HOTEL CAB. I MEAN WHAT THE HELL. THIS HOTEL DONT EVEN HAVE 02 CARS??I WILL NEVER SUGGEST THIS HOTEL TO ANY ONE WHO IS VISITING BANGLADESH.
