The Hotel Celare is beautiful. The beds are comfortable and staff was very friendly! Cap City Diner next door had great food and service and the coffee shop under the Hub had great coffee. My only complaint was how noisy it was outside late into the night, but I realize that's probably just part of being near the university and being below the roof top bar.

Super friendly and helpful front desk staff! Rooms were well appointed, spacious, and clean. Fitness center is great! It’s near UC so most of the dining options nearby are fast casual, but centrally located so a short drive to other areas downtown.

Relatively new and very clean, which is what motivated us to book at this hotel. Limited decent eating establishments within walking distance, most were fast food. However, easy city to get around in if you have a car and eating options abound.

What I didn't like was when I made my reservation, I paid the upcharge to male it refundable because my travel plans aren't always 100% guaranteed, and with that purchase I also paid the $18 for the breakfast buffet. I check-in, get my meal vouchers and go to my room for the night. Next morning I wake up and head to the buffet and the host tells me the buffet is $25. So now I'm standing there confused like, why bother paying $18 for the voucher if I have to pay more anyways? Either way I'm spending $25. Also, I'd like to note that on the hotel website, it shows the price range for breakfast to be $18-22, so now it's just a lie at that point. I did speak to a manager during my check-out about this and they did reward me with 5,000 points which I greatly appreciated, but it was still disappointing to not enjoy the food.

Very nice interiors, staff is friendly and accommodating. The drinks at The Vick were really delicious. Breakfast at Iris Cafe is decent and reasonably priced. Appreciate the pet-friendly policy. The location is a bit odd (not downtown) but close to the university, was quiet at night. Easy enough to get to desirable restaurants, bars, etc.
