Villa I Mandarini is a 12th century farmhouse belonging to the village of San Lorenzo Bibbiana, surrounded by greenery and in complete peace, located above Mercatale di Cortona, at an altitude of 650 m. above sea level with a wonderful view of the Niccone valley in front of the Castle of Reschio, a famous location for international VIPs, on the border between Umbria and Tuscany. The farmhouse for exclusive use is very welcoming and comfortable with furnishings that reflect the excellent aesthetic taste of the owners.
All bedrooms have air conditioning.
Private swimming pool (6 x 12 m, depth 80 - 250 cm) sunny 12 hours a day. Outdoor shower, garden furniture, children's play area, with swings, jumping, slide and large BBQ

-Ground floor: Large living/dining room with veranda, lounge
with fireplace, SMART TV (satellite and digital terrestrial), radio, CD and DVD, a kitchen (4 hotplates, oven, dishwasher, microwave oven, freezer, electric coffee machine), a double bedroom, the first with a bed double and the second with two single beds and a bathroom (en suite) with shower.
-First floor: terrace with exit to the garden, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, dining room, large living room with fireplace and SMART TV and a double bedroom and bathroom with shower.
-Mezzanine: study with free internet access.
-Second floor: 2 double bedrooms, terrace with breathtaking views, 1 large shared bathroom with tub and double sink.

Wonderful Villa!

This property is truly outstanding. It is picture perfect in every way. The hosts were kind, helpful and communicative, and could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Set in the country hills of Umbria, I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to have a true experience.

A beautiful home with warmth and character.

Way more house than we needed for just the two of us—5 bedrooms and 4 baths—but it always felt comfortable. Very nicely decorated with art and ceramics. Beautiful grounds, including a large swimming pool. Spectacular views across the valley and into the hills and mountains beyond. We felt very much at home there, and would love to come back with our children and grandchildren some day. Bridgette and Enrico, the owners were very welcoming and helpful showing us around the house when we arrived.The only drawback to this house is that it’s up a long and very windy road, and a bit of a hike to the nearest town. Most of the towns and cities we visited in Umbria were1-2 hours away, and the drives between the house and each were beautiful.

Beautiful spot with great views

We had a lovely stay at this wonderful place with fabulous views and great pool. The fabulous view means you need to be comfortable to navigate some windy tracks and is more suited to a relaxing week than a hectic sightseeing schedule.

Beautiful house, misleading extra fees

The stay was great, the house was beautiful and we loved it, the owners were asking for very big extra fees in cash, for example for electricity usage (we didn’t use much and it ended up in very high fees), extra cleaning fees, and towel rental(!!)

Fabulous family and friends getaway

We had an amazing stay at Brigitte’s house. It is very well equipped and enormous, with plenty of space for two families. The pool is huge and the patio area very spacious for al fresco dining. Brigitte and her husband are super friendly and very responsive. The drive to the property is winding but it’s easy to find. The views are amazing. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Beautiful Villa

My family and I stayed at La Biquette for 3 weeks. The villa was fantastic and my children loved the pool. Brigitte was very easy to work with and answered any questions we had promptly. The house is at the top of a very windy road so be careful as you drive up! Once you are at the villa the view is worth it. The house has limited AC, but it wasn't an issue for us since there are fans in the bedrooms and the air is so cool and fresh at night. Overall it was a great stay.

Superb getaway

The house was beautifully located with stunning views over the valley. Rooms were spacious, well organised and comfortable. Outdoors, the swimming pool was clean with excellent shade and furniture, and we appreciated the lower terrace and BBQ. The host could not have been better. A five-star experience.

Very nice House - but not what we was promised

It is a very lovely house, and the countryside is perfect. But we did not get what we were expecting. In the booking it says that there were room for 10 persons- but we only had access to part of the house, 2 rooms - were locked- so we only had access to 6 beds. When we contacted the host we were told that, we had to pay for access to the last rooms. And that we had only paid for access to 6 beds. even though the booking said house for 10 persons. The host came by unannounced several times, as there were a problem with a pump in the garden.

Beautiful villa with a fantastic view.

We spent a fantastic week in this beautiful villa to celebrate my husband 50th birthday. The location is amazing, and the villa very well organised. The interior is very tasteful and comfortable. We found every thing we needed in the house. Brigitte was very helpful thoughout the entire process, from booking to arrival. We all hope to return one day!!

Angenehmer Aufenthalt

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen 2-wöchigen Urlaub im Haus von Brigitte und Enrico. Beide waren uns sehr sympathisch und haben alles getan, um uns einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und hat einen großen Pool wie beschrieben, die Aussicht ist großartig. Die Anfahrt zur Unterkunft ist auf den letzten Kilometern kurvig und die Straßen sind nicht die besten, aber das ist typisch für die Gegend. Die vorhandenen Klimaanlagen mussten wir nicht verwenden, da das Haus hinreichend kühl ist. Alles war sauber und die Kommunikation und Übergabe verlief problemlos und sehr angenehm.
