Everything was clean and wonderful. Breakfast was very yummy in the morning and downtown was a nice walk away.
The Blackwell is currently a hotel and event center. I was told the house was constructed in 1905 and for several years operated as a B&B, which is pretty close to what we experienced for our one night stay! Great breakfast and amenities! Our bedroom was small but very comfortable. I took lots of pictures because it was so beautifully restored!
Perfect for introverts like us, clean room, patient and courteous staff. Come here if you don't like the resort! They offer a real breakfast including freshly cooked offerings.
The rooms are delightful and clean. The ambience is great. The breakfast was pretty good and the service and staff were excellent. The building and its environment feel safe and are an excellent getaway.

Easy self check-in, clean rooms, cozy historic inn. However, room was a bit noisy from the central air. Also, it was super low touch and not a lot of attention to details. But if you are looking for a nice place to stay with no hassle, this works.
We loved the room and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful and took place in the exceptional beauty of the main house! We plan on going back in the future. Thank you Blackwell!
We loved our stay . The only suggestions would be that the breakfast could be earlier - 9 am is late if you have plans for the day .
Also the front / main door can be difficult to open - we had to try repeatedly, as did other guests .
We would definitely stay here again .
This hotel is an old mansion and luxury boutique hotel. It is well kept and would be a great venue for a wedding.
As an older hotel, it has shared spaces like sitting areas, bathrooms, game rooms, etc. It has old heaters in many rooms and a claw foot bathtub in the upstairs bathroom.
It is in a safe neighborhood and very convenient to downtown Couer d'Alene.
We were on the 3rd floor and had to climb up some narrow staircases to our room. The floors were a bit creaky, as you would expect in a historic building. It was definitely an experience you won't get with the corporate hotels. The hosts were friendly and made breakfast. The Blackwell was a unique experience!
