This was a great option for ease of access to the central strain station and within walking distance of everything you would want to see. The price I paid was great and got exactly what I expected, however was impressed with room size and en-suite. The shower was hot and powerful, and the bed was comfy. Just what I needed for a hotel where I only returned to sleep. Would highly recommend and book again.

Decent budget hotel close to the hbf. Main room was spotless. Apart from the main light didn't work I could have complained but wanted sleep. Bathroom was reasonable though nasty stain in the toilet and water heater looked a bit precarious

Great price for the location and quality. Perfect for a short stay. Since it’s beside the train station it might be noisy for some however for me it’s not a bother as it’s just white noise. Staff very friendly and would stay again due to its close proximity to the city centre.

Just what was needed and a great location.

Didn’t realise I had booked a hostel but the private room was very good for the time I was staying in the Cologne. The staff were excellent and kind and extremely helpful especially with sorting a fan out in the middle of the night due to the heat. Location just a 5 minute walk from Central Station is also a positive.

Good location Great price if you are just looking for a no frills place to sleep. Our room was clean it had cheap furniture as expected. It was safe and staff was friendly. I would probably opt out of breakfast

Great Stopover

We visited as a quick stopover enroute by train from Sweden to the UK. The hotel was easy to find and a short walk from Cologne station. We arrived just after 11.30pm and were greeted and provided our room. The room was basic, but clean, warm and functional. Only downside was no lift as we had some heavy bags, but on balance a great experience.

There is an app for 'checking in' however the app didn't work. There is also no link provided through a&o/expedia to download the app, which would have been helpful. I msgd the property through Expedia about the app not working for check in and received no reply. After calling a help centre for a&o the man told me the hotel had a 24/7 reception. When we got there (bearing in mind it's 35c+) there was no one at reception (which was like an oven) and we had to get other guests to let us in. There was no one at reception to be found, I had to ring the helpline again as the self check in system wasn't finding our booking. We were overheated and stressed at this point. Finally we got in and the room was STIFLING. One paltry desk fan for a giant room! The shower holder was practically falling off the wall and the towels smelt musty and unclean. Having to have the windows open, as the ro was hotter than outside, the noise from the nearby train tracks screeching was deafening. Would not recommend to stay in the summer and bring your own towels! A really uncomfortable amd stressful stay.
