I liked the location of the hotel. Most attractions can be reached on foot from the hotel. It’s right on the Rhine too, which was lovely to look out onto every day. Breakfast and the service was excellent. Great choice of continental or cooked breakfasts. Staff on reception were always friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

It is in a good location next to the river, which is ideal with the roof top terrace. Only about 25 minute stroll from the train station. Rooms were big and airy.

Got downgraded on arrival despite paying in advance. Reception said they couldn’t refund difference. Got 2 free drinks at the bar as compensation. Barman said we couldn’t have certain drinks. Complained to hotels.com and got refunded a small token amount on checkout. Will not be staying here again. Categorically off the list!

This is a great hotel, very convenient for visiting the Christmas markets. We enjoyed their touch of coffee and water available and some gluhwein occasionally. Only complaint was our room description- 1 bedroom suite in every other hotel we’ve stayed in has meant a separate room for sleeping and this is what we expected as we were travelling with 2 older teen boys. In fact, it was just a single room. The only difference being a sleeper couch at the end of the bed for the boys. So, all a bit crowded but we made it work for the few days of our stay. One lift out of order meant long lines for the lifts daily. Luckily we were on the first floor so used the stairs where we could. We didn’t have breakfast included so visited local bakeries to buy breakfast most days. But we did treat ourselves to breakfast one day and the food was fresh, plentiful and varied. Underground car park was useful and convenient. Would stay again.
