Beautifully remodeled, charming victorian home in the heart of Old Colorado City! This cute little romantic 1904 home has a brand new kitchen and beautifully remodeled bathroom with the amazing rain shower. Enjoy all new appliances and bedding, newly landscaped yard, and backyard patio, grill, and fire pit. Ideal for a couple or small family - please note the bathroom entrance is through the master bedroom. The home is located only a few blocks from great shopping, art stores, farmer's markets, coffee shops, and yummy restaurants. This cottage is less than 3 miles from Garden of the Gods, walking distance from downtown Old Colorado City, 2 miles from downtown Colorado Springs and less than 5 miles from Manitou Springs. The home was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. One downside is that the queen bed is against a wall on one side, making it difficult to get in or out with 2 people. The location is fairly close to downtown restaurants, shops, etc. We found the front and backyard as well as the advertised hot tub leaving much to be desired. The hot tub and great reviews were main factors in booking, this was not a hot tub we were comfortable soaking in.

The property was exactly as described. It was a perfect location! The girls LOVED having the hot tub! The host was very responsive. When the coffee maker quit working, I messaged her that evening, and there was one delivered on the front porch by the time I woke up the next morning! Check in and check out were both very easy, and we loved our stay!! Thank you!!

Hot Tub was 93 degrees when we arrived; water had a distinct subtle smell with a greenish tinge to it. This was not a last minute booking thus the hot tub should have been CLEAN and up to temperature. I'd taken a water sample to a local pool store and was advised it should be drained and sanitized; the water quality was quite unhealthy.

Home was extremely dirty. Bed sheets didn’t look to be clean as there were long hairs all over them. The hot tub looked like it had not been cleaned in quite some time. We didn’t even attempt to access it because of the outside appearance. The listing says the home has A/C. This is misleading because there is a window unit in the main bedroom which did not cool the home. The back bedroom has a fan and it was a bit warm while visiting. The bed in the main bedroom was extremely uncomfortable - you pretty much rolled into the person sleeping with you because of the divot in the bed. Additionally, I never felt really secure while in the home because it was impossible to deadbolt the front door. We ended up leaving after night 1 of our 3 day reservation.

Old Colorado City Cottage

Central location and easily walkable to Old Colorado City shops and restaurants. Short drive to Garden of the Gods, hiking, and site seeing. Ten to 15 minute drive to south gate of USAFA. Kitchen is well stocked and extremely clean. Recommend for 1-2 people.

Wonderful stay at this property. Very clean and beds very comfortable. Loved the shower, enjoyed the hot tub. The bathroom being inside the master bedroom was not a problem for us but might be an issue with a larger group. Felt safe in the neighborhood. Close to Garden of the Gods.

Nice neighborhood, with friendly folks. Felt like a small town, but was close to all the things you needed ( food shopping gas etc ). Lovely little home, with a complete and well furnished kitchen. Loved our time there.

Great house and location.

Small but well done. Great for my son and me. Bathroom is in master bedroom--so some maneuveriing required! Hot tub, fire pit out back were very nice. Neighborhood very quaint and safe--across the street from a church! Would stay again.

Fine place for couple

This house is super city though small and the only bathroom is off the primary bedroom. I stayed here with my sister and she had to go through the my bedroom to go to the bathroom, which at night was problematic. We also had an issue with the smoke alarm which kept going off and I have to say the manager or owner was not that helpful. At one point we were thinking we’d have to stay in a hotel but we’re able to disconnect it at the last minute. Not ideal to have a non-functioning smoke alarm. Throughout, the manager kinda offered to send someone over but actually never did, so when we got back from a wedding late at night we had to scramble to figure out what to do. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a cute house, in a cute neighborhood with a nice hot tub out back - so there is potential for a great stay. Unfortunately ours left us with a sour taste in the mouth.

We made ourselves comfortable but bath, AC and hot tub kept losing power needs attention. Front porch hand rail too loose dangerous. Back yard needs cleaned. Clean with amenities well provided.

The perfect location

The house was adorable. The location was perfect for shopping and dining. The hot tub was a very welcome sight after a full day of hiking adventures. The host was super responsive and the website had all the information we needed. Will definably be booking again.
