Nice cosy room and clean. Bed and shower are clean and nice. Yet the aircondioning is very loud and backdated, therefore of no use during sleeping and there is no other ventilation. I got a terrible headache from it.

Checkin was very welcoming and easy. I knew this was an older hotel (built in 1925), so keeping that in mind, the features were antique with the time period. We stayed in a king Cabana room and it reminded me of my grandmas house. It was quaint. Bathroom tiny. The bed was comfy, nice towels and the room was clean. Would stay here again.

We stayed here for nostalgia and convenience to downtown. We forgot that restaurant schedules vary during Spring Break! Was surprised the front desk staff didn't consider that when suggesting places to eat. No big deal, we discovered Restaurant Tyler, a charming place down the block,. The only issue with The Hotel Chester was a very loud AC unit in our room

The comfort of the old hotel and the service were as good as anywhere that I have stayed. It's right in the heart of downtown Starkville with plenty of eating options and activities minutes away! Dave & Suki are phenomenal hosts and truly care about the customer's experience when staying at the Hotel Chester!
