I originally booked 2 rooms for 3 nights and ended up only staying 1 night. Hotel was in a bad area of Columbus. It was run down, the carpets were gross, rooms were dirty and smelled like smoke. My sink had a crack in it and there was moldy caulk around shower. I ended up booking another hotel on the west side of Columbus.

booking through the expedia website says it’s a hotel, it’s a motel. on top of that it automatically books you a smoking room without asking, the staff wasn’t the friendliest

the sheets had holes in them, the blankets were ripped. roomed smelled like cigarettes. ended up not staying second night

Pros: The staff were very very very friendly during the stay. The check in staff chatted to us about what we were up to, where we were from, very nice conversation. The night staff were excellent and helped us out with an extra couple towels as we were short. The rooms were clean and looked like they had done a remodelling or renovation recently. The linens were clean, no stains. The beds were very comfortable, which surprised me as I usually don’t sleep well in hotels because of bad mattresses. The AC was very efficient. I like it super cold and it only took a few mins to get the room to my liking. Bathrooms were also nice and clean. Shower temp nice and hot. Nice selection of items with the continental breakfast. We could have been good with the breakfast provided but we went to the nearby Wawa for hot breakfast on the go. Cons: The room we were in though had clearly had a recent leak, I’m guessing from the AC as the housing was not in place properly. We only noticed because there was a faint smell, which probably won’t go away until the carpet is replaced. When we got back to the hotel Friday night/Saturday morning there was 4 or 5 police cars and someone was being arrested. I wouldn’t usually mention this as this occurs all the time at hotels but the police had blocked the only way to get around to our side of the hotel for parking. We had to park at the adjacent restaurant and thankfully did not get a ticket.

The receptionist was exceptionally friendly and professional, offering thoughtful suggestions and practical solutions. Her presence is a true asset to the establishment. However, the breakfast selection was quite limited. It lacked any protein options and consisted only of the bare essentials. An upgrade in this area would greatly enhance the overall experience.

Our hotel room smelled like mold and the whole room was unclean. There were stains on the carpet and we never took off our shoes. The whole building was not very nice. We ended up leaving early because of how bad it was. Do not recommend.
