The space
• Located between two quiet neighborhoods.
• Access to indoor hot tub, fire pit, and shared basketball pole.
• Washer, dryer, and ironing board so you can do your laundry.
• Off-street parking: four parking spaces in front of the house, additional parking upon request, free EV charger for electric cars.
• Living room contains a 65” 4K smart television.
• Every bedroom has it's own individual smart TV.
• Fully equipped kitchen.
• Dedicated workspace so you can work from home.
• Guest house is part of a duplex.
Guest access
Guests will have access to their entire side of guest house with the exception of one small storage closet.

Outside of the guest house, you will also have access to some of our exterior amenities, including our fire pit, patio, and a shared basketball hoop. You are also welcome to take a walk or play games in the fields on the back 8 acres of our property.

All exterior amenities of the estate are shared with the main house, so you may encounter us while you are using them.

CHECK OUT: Check out is at noon.

PARKING: There are four well marked parking spaces directly in front of the guest house. You are welcome to use any and all of them.

We stayed here in between selling our home and moving into our home. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Their attention to detail and the amenities were top notch. My dogs loved the dog park. They even had dog toys and a cooler of fresh water for the pups. Would stay here again.

My daughters are in college at OWU and OSU. This was the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend together. It's in a great location to get out and about but we mostly sat in the sunshine of the dog park with our 2 pups and enjoyed each other company. The entire cottage is well equiped! We didn't use a fraction of the amenities this time, but we will be back!

What a Treat for Me & My Pups

The Calico Cottage was more of a retreat than the business trip I was using it for! Perfect, quiet space with everything you could need in a convenient location to stores & restaurants. They even have a huge private dog park with a firepit inside of it so guests can hang out while their dogs run around like crazy. We will definitely be back!!

This was easily one of the best STRs I've stayed at. Exactly as advertised, EXCEPTIONALLY clean, modern, thoughtful, and comfortable. Perfect for a couple or small family traveling with pets. The half acre dog park complete with fire pit and seating area makes for an awesome relaxation spot with your fur kids. The owner was lightning fast to respond and always available. I'd book again in a heartbeat.

All you could ask for!

This place is amazing! Very well maintained property and very safe surroundings. The house was updated, cozy but spacious, and had everything you would need. Doc went out of his way to accommodate us, excellent host, great communication, all around good experience. Close to plenty of restaurants, area attractions, and leas than 10 minutes from Alum Creek. This is one of the nicest most organized clean properties that I have stayed at! it was so easy with our pets. there was a dog park, fire pit hose to wash things with, they seem to have thought of every little detail to make our stay very very comfortable. Everything was marked very clearly so you knew exactly where to put things! If you like to cook and have fun meals together you'll find everything you need in the well start kitchen! would definitely stay here again!!!

Holiday stay at the Calico Cottage

What a lovely visit at the Calico Cottage. We have family in Powell, and we’re always looking for a close place to stay with our dogs. This was the perfect place, in a great area with just the right amenities. The only downside was trying to get our dogs to leave the amazing dog park on the property. They absolutely loved it too! Weekend fishing trip

Stayed at Calico Cottage while on a fishing trip to Alum Creek Reservoir. Great location. Minutes from the lake, stores and Cabela’s. Extremely clean and every necessity you could possibly need was provided. Would definitely come back on our next fishing trip.

Nice little getaway!

Doc and Carrie were fantastic hosts. The place was very clean, very comfy and in a great location. We enjoyed our weekend mini trip going to the zoo, shopping, and dining. The dogs had a blast at the dog park playing frisbee everyday. We will definitely be back!

Tidy and accommodating

We were in town from Florida to meet our new grand daughter and this rental was perfect for our needs. We brought our 2 small dogs and they loved the dog park. Doc was very responsive and kind and we'll definitely stay here again if we are back in town.
