Such a wonderful place to stay. Seconds from the beach, nice & tidy rooms with everything you need, onsite parking and topped off by wonderful hosts. By The Bay is a small complex that delivers huge smiles. It is now my first choice whenever I am the area.

Break by the beach

Very welcoming hosts and an excellent location, less than a minutes walk and your on the beach. Great views from our room, comfortable with everything we could need for our stay. We would definitely return and will recommended the apartments to friends and family.

Very convenient for beach experience

Place was nice we had a 4 bedroom and a 2 bedroom apartment layout of 4 bedroom and kitchen wasn't very modern but 2 bedroom was nice open plan easy living

Great clean room on beach. Friendly staff

Hard to fault. Nice spot on quiet beach with great views close (can walk if you have time) to shopping facilities and the famous Manganui fish shop. Good place to stay if wanting to drive up to Cape Rienga Highly recommended.

Over priced for Studio Room

Pros: The view and beach
Cons: Above mentioned or bring the price down
Location: Mangaonui had a great cafes and good fresh fish and chips at wharf.Friendly village ,and information site. GAS Station Coopers Beach were helpful.
For the price we felt that the room was not up to standard. Shower box was small and dated as was the vanity..TV was not clear. Door of entrance hard to lock, unlock inside and out.

Pros: The views from the main bedroom and having space for 2 teenage boys. A beautiful setting with great views.
Cons: Dryer did not work but Mary kindly did it for us at hers. Very hard bed in main bedroom however Mary lent us a duvet which helped ease the back!
