If you’re considering a visit to Copenhagen, I highly recommend a stay at the Copenhagen Island hotel. The hotel is very well-placed, close to local rail services, shops, and the city centre. The hotel itself is fantastic, and the staff are very helpful, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist or answer any questions you may have. The room was lovely and welcoming, and the bathroom was clean and tidy. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of options to suit every dietary need.

While the hotel was modern and the rooms spacious, the service we received was terrible and the rooms not soundproof enough. Room cleaning is “on request” Although everytime i requested no one came to clean and we were left with dirty hotel room for the majority of the stay. I had to seek out cleaners for fresh towels and toilet paper (embarrassing) Not only this, but on our arrival the hotel staff attempted to upsell us to a bigger room, we were happy with what we purchased so didn’t feel it necessary. However, unfortunately the room next to us had someone who snored incredibly loud, you could hear it in our room and it made sleeping incredibly hard. I ended up going to the hotel desk at around 2am one of the morning asking to be move to another room, even if it was a smaller one, I was told no rooms available and just fobbed off, no follow up, nothing. Funny considering not even 24 hours ago they were trying to sell me a bigger room. So I was Just left in a room where sleep was impossible for the duration of my stay! With no cleaning attempted at all.

Could be improved: Flies on the breakfast is unforgivable! Beds a little too firm, but each will have different preferences! Aspects that we liked. Location: 20mins away from city center and train station, which for us was perfect as we like a walk. Its easy to navigate and always felt safe. Water front, and right next door to the Mall, cinema, restaurants and a Lidls. Very happy. Room: great size. Fridge, hair dryer, big bathroom etc. (TV did not work, but we weren't there to watch TV so a minor point. Staff: super friendly.

Spotless room - easy check in/check out via the app with QR code room key. Room cleaning can be booked a day in advance and we were given 20%off in the bar and restaurant. Great view from the balcony and close to the food hall and metro station for getting around, would happily stay again and recommend to friends

It doesn’t quite reach the 4 star level. Rooms lack comfortable beds (very narrow single beds) and bathrooms without a separate shower. Service like cleaning is only on demand which I prefer to be standard. You need to inform every day when you need cleaning which seems odd. At breakfast they close sections although it is super busy. It is not so courteous but my check out was a great experience with support for my luggage. Location is very convenient as well.
