Surrounded by generous grounds of mature trees, shrubs and lawns, set amidst a landscape recognised for its abundance of natural beauty, Elissavet is a wonderfully welcoming property and a real ‘home from home’. In this appealing location guests can choose to be as active or relaxed as they wish. Keen golfers will be delighted to learn that the first tee on the island’s renowned 18-hole golf course is only about 700m from the house while the sedate coastal village and attractive cove beach of Ermones, sheltered by striking wooded hills, is just 1.3km away.
Internally, contemporary décor creates a warm and homely feel ideal for laid back family living. Designed across one level, you enter into a spacious open plan living/dining area with doors to the garden and terraces and a well-equipped kitchen alongside. All three bedrooms are light and fresh with two elegant shower-rooms (one en suite) completing the beautifully maintained accommodation.

As there is such plentiful space to enjoy, many a moment will surely be spent outside either relaxing on the various terraces, enjoying stressless summer dining under the flower-bedecked pergola, sipping a cooling drink at sunset or simply watching the younger party members let off holiday steam as they run and play around the garden. Tiled in soothing ultramarine, with mature palms and bougainvillea shading its adjacent suntrap terrace, the gorgeous private pool defines the word enticing.

A further benefit of this attractive location is that the soaring temperatures of the main summer months can often be tempered by a natural cooling effect created by the airflow circulating between the sea to one side and lush green hills to the other.

Nearby Ermones is home to a minimarket and a couple of family-run tavernas specialising in fresh local produce and delicious sea food dishes. Lapped by clear Mediterranean waters ideal for snorkelling, the beach here is a mix of soft sand and shingle with water sports such as boat hire, pedalos and scuba diving often available.

Many other picturesque beaches such as Glyfada (5.2km) and Agios Gordios (12.9km) can be found within easy distance and various local tavernas dot the surrounding countryside. The island capital, Corfu Town as well as the celebrated seaside town of Paleokastritsa which boasts six beaches together with an enviable selection of water-themed activities, shops, bars and local tavernas are each around a 25-30 minute drive.
