**Disappointing Stay: Safety Hazards, Filthy Facilities, and Poor Management** I am extremely disappointed with this Wyndham property. It is clear that the hotel is aging, but the lack of proper maintenance has reached a point where it feels both neglected and unsafe. **Safety & Maintenance:** The maintenance is amateur at best. There is visible water damage on the ceilings fixed so poorly that you can see the mismatched paint. In Room 606, the metal balcony railing is severely corroded; on a high floor, this is a major safety hazard. Outside the elevators, the wood paneling is broken and splintering. Furthermore, the hallway carpets were filthy and appeared unvacuumed for days. **Amenities:** The facilities are in a state of decay. The pool area has broken tiles with visible mold growing in the cracks. The hot tub was unusable—the water was filthy and the jets were broken. Out of two elevators, only one was working, resulting in long wait times to get to our rooms. **Management & Service:** The management is rigid and unprofessional. My friends arrived at 2:00 PM and were told they had to wait until 4:00 PM to check in unless they paid a $30 early check-in fee. Forcing guests to wait two hours for a room in a hotel with such poor facilities is unacceptable. It feels like they are just putting "lipstick on a pig" with cheap, unprofessional repairs rather than actually maintaining the building. I will never stay here again and strongly suggest others avoid this location

Staff was accommodating. But there’s nothing exceptional about the hotel other than it was on the beach. The pool was warm and nice but too close to the bar for the noise and cigarette smoke. Not a resort for sure! The windows need to be replaced, and nothing was updated. The elevators were small and it was hard getting the luggage cart in or out. And they broke down often. The handicap room had a tub with soap we could not reach and no stopper for the tub. And the tub/shower was very slippery.

"View of the water" really means if you get close enough to the window and look far enough to the side, past the garbage, you can see some water. My wife wanted to take a bath, can't do it in your tub. Property not maintained.

A lovely place to be by the beach. They have an outdoor bar along with all the other things a hotel should have. The room was clean and the staff was amazing. This is my new stop when I go to North Padre Island.

This hotel was nasty. From the front entrance and the lobby and the elevators to the carpet in the hallways. When I say nasty I truly mean it. We were there for 2 nights and 3 days. The same trash was on the floor of both elevators for the entire time. No one was cleaning the lobby or elevators at all. The carpet in the hallways was completely disgusting. When you have such high traffic at a beach location this should be top priority and yes it is hard to keep clean but it is what happens when you are a beach hotel.

Warning, The pictures are very deceitful. We thought we booked an ocean view since the pictures showed a ocean view and the other a parking lot view. There are 5 cars in the parking lot since it's a Monday night in December. When we asked to check the price and move to the ocean view she wanted to charge us $90 more dollars. $60 more than if we would have booked today through the site. Customer service is a lost service here.

We were not informed until we check out via email that we wouldn't have room cleaning service unless we requested it and if we stayed for 3 nights. The hot tub was not in use and the water level was under the jets. We were told that it was due to the weather which did not make since. We got an email after check regarding this issue also. A little too late.

Decent room for the price, everything worked properly and it was clean. There is work to be done on the cosmetic side but they are working on it. Location can’t be beat! We tried using the hot tub the morning before we left and they said it didn’t open until 10 due to cleaning but nobody was cleaning it. We asked for an exception and they refused so I feel they could have easily won us over with a simple gesture.
