Casa Guadiaro is situated in the quaint, traditional white Andalusian village of El Colmenar, Estación de Gaucin, within the boundaries of "Los Alcornocales" National Park in the mountains of Ronda.

Free off-street parking is provided. The nearest airports are Gibraltar (40 miles) and Málaga (85 miles). Transport to and from the airport can be arranged.
The property is within a 5-minute walk of three local restaurants offering an extensive menu featuring local produce at very reasonable prices. The train station is a short walk away, and guests can visit the Moorish cities of Ronda (1 hour), Antequera (2.5 hours), Granada (4.5 hours), as well as Gibraltar (1.5 hours by train and bus) and the port of Algeciras. A half-hourly ferry service runs throughout the day from Algeciras to the Spanish enclave of Ceuta on the North African coast and to Tangier, Morocco.
Locally, there are leisurely walks in the National Park and to the Buitreras Canyon, and for the more energetic, longer hikes to other villages along public trails. Horseback riding is also available.
