Perfectly sized for just the two of you, Il Rattoppo offers seclusion when you desire it but also plenty of interest locally when you feel it’s high time to explore. Olive oil and wine tastings are among the local temptations you won’t be able to resist; bring back any that catch your eye and put them to use creating a dinner to enjoy by candlelight on the terrace or in the snug lounge.
As you would expect from its location on the brow of a hill, Il Rattoppo has superb views of the Valdichiana valley, with Tuscany falling away into the middle distance. Entered through a beautiful brick archway, the property is surrounded by a pretty garden. Step inside and you’ll instantly feel at home. With its period features, such as wood-beamed ceilings, this villa oozes character, and the working fireplace will prove irresistible to cuddle up by on cooler evenings.
The cottage is next to the main house, where the owners live. You are assured of a warm welcome but beyond that they will leave you to enjoy your stay in private. There are two mountain bikes on site that guests may use for free.
