Small Provencal country house from the 19th century enlarged and renovated with private swimming pool and 1.5 hectare private plot. olive, lavender and rosemary, with an incomparable view of the forest and the Var hills. House for 6 people (pets allowed)
 The house, the swimming pool, the entire property are for the sole use of the tenants. Nothing is to be shared. Absolute calm, without vis-à-vis, without housing around on an old olive grove adjoining the municipal forest of Cotignac and the Natural Park of Verdon of several hundred hectares with many hiking trails. In the surrounding area for swimming the magnificent lake of St Croix (30mn), waterfalls, and the famous Gorges du Verdon only 35mn The property is located only 1.5km from the center of the charming village of Cotignac, '' village of character '' '' (Provencal market, green theater, concerts, cinema, entertainment for children, good Provencal restaurants ...
The privilege of a healthy and authentic environment. The pleasure of feeling alone in the heart of nature and yet only 1.5km from the village.

The house has been restored keeping the spirit of the old "sheepfold". Decorated with care it keeps the simplicity of a holiday home easy to live (natural paintings with lime and linseed oil). It is furnished and accessorized with pleasant and comfortable old and contemporary pieces. All bedding is new.
The walls are thick and guarantee freshness. Due to its location in the hills the house tends to be cool at night.



The kitchen: fully equipped as new: a large stainless steel sink, 4-burner induction hob, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven, small household appliances: kettle, coffee maker, mixer, toaster, etc ... cupboards and storage, dishes, generous cookware. The kitchen has its old large stone fireplace made by hand. It has a dining area for cool evenings.
The washing machine, iron and ironing board are in the technical room. The barbecue (on the terrace) also serves as an oven.
The living room: small and warm with flat screen TV, internet, board games, English and French books, sofa.
Bedroom 1: large, very bright bedroom with French window onto the garden, 160 cm bed, large closet, table, armchair, night tables, bedside lamps.
Bedroom 2: large, very bright bedroom with French window overlooking the garden, 2 90 cm beds, large closet, table, night tables, bedside lamps.
Bedroom 3: separate from the house and opening onto the terrace, cupboard, 140 cm bed, bedside lamps.

The surroundings of the house are fitted out: large parking area and spaces for ten cars. Beyond, the property (which is not fenced) is still wild and will be gradually rehabilitated.
The house is air conditioned "naturally": walls 50 to 70 cm thick for the old part and insulation to current standards for the recent part. Due to its location in the hills the house tends to be cool at night.

Lovely relaxing holiday

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It has all the amenities that we needed, We spent very little time in the house because the outside area was so lovely, with lots of seating areas & of course the pool was delightful. The area is peaceful and tranquil but only 5 minutes from Cotignac, with lots of bars and restaurants.

Ein Traum und Wirklichkeit

Ein wunderschönes Haus und ein traumhaft schöner und riesiger Olivenhain. Der noch im Text beschriebene Kamin ist einer schönen großen Bank gewichen. Viele unschöne Dinge hatten wahrscheinlich mit dem Anfang der Saison zu tun. Wir kommen in unser altes Paradies nicht mehr wieder.

Ruhe geniessen nahe des wunderschönen Ortes Cotignac

Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Das Haus liegt etwas ausserhalb von Contignac, ist aber mit dem Fahrrad in weniger als 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Rund um das Haus ist viel Platz und man kann die Ruhe geniessen. Wer Radfahren mag, kommt in der Region auch auf seine Kosten, egal ob Rennrad, MTB, alles ist möglich. Cortignac ist sehr schön, aber auch TourTour, Le Thoronet, Verdon Schlucht, diverse Orte am Mittelmeer, ... lohnen sich zu besuchen. Jaques war sehr freundlich und hat uns alles gezeigt.

Prachtige lokatie , heel fijn zwembad

Heel mooie plek , met een schitterend uitzicht , huis is eenvoudig ingericht, we misten goede stoelen aan de eettafels, het zwembad was mooi en goed onderhouden . Er waren veel persoonlijke spullen in het huis dat vind ik minder prettig . De stilte en de rust maakten alles goed , de plek is een paradijs

Wir hatten zwei ganz wunderschöne Wochen in diesem besonderen alten Haus. Die Natur, die wunderbare Aussicht, die Abgeschiedenheit bei gleichzeitiger Nähe zu Cotignac, der Pool umrahmt von Olivenbäumen- einfach ein Traum. Wenn man den Charme alter, traditioneller Häuser liebt und die Natur, ist man an diesem Ort genau richtig aufgehoben. Ankommen, loslassen und genießen!!!

Beste Lage

Meine Frau und unsere erwachsenen Töchter haben es sehr genossen. Das Haus hat alles, was man braucht. Es liegt unglaublich angenehm einsam, hat aber eine gute Anbindung an Cotignac (5 Auto Min entfernt), eines der schönsten Dörfer der Provence. Von hier aus kann man alles erreichen. Aussicht, Pool, Sitzmöglichkeiten draußen, Ambiente und Ausstattung, alles top um einen rundum schönen Urlaub zu haben. Vielen Dank an Sylvie (sehr nett!), bis zum nächsten Mal, Michael
