Beautiful location, not as quiet as the neighbourhood

I have nothing but praise regarding the location and the large, private outdoor space. The inside is tastefully decorated and the quality of linens, towels are quite nice. What soured our stay here was the pump that came on every 20 seconds when the water ran. I’m not talking about a regular sounding humming pump (of which I’ve lived with all my life). I’m talking about a grinding pump that almost broke the sound barrier. It came on five times during a three minute shower! Additionally, the fire alarm from upstairs at 9:30 pm didn’t help when we were trying to sleep for a 3am departure. As for cleanliness, it looked clean upon arrival, but we dealt with two large spiders in the bathroom in well established webs, the floor was sandy, and there were dust balls around the floor lamp. I’m not certain where the cleaning fee goes here, but they need a new vacuum.

Beautiful home, beautiful location. This a taste of island life. The property is amazing BUT not entirely private as the owner lives on site and you will see and interact with her daily. She is a lovely woman and not intrusive. I would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful relaxing stay

We absolutely loved this spot. The accommodation was top notch, beautifully appointed and super comfortable. We especially enjoyed being able to sit in the beautiful gardens and watch the tide and activity on the water. The accommodation is on the Royston Seaside trail which we walked every day. If we have occasion to come back to this are we will definitely stay here!!!

A little slice of heaven!

We spent a lovely 3 nights at Kate’s property, and enjoyed every minute! We loved walking the seaside path right at the foot of the yard, and had the best sleep in ages! Had a wee problem with the fire alarm going off a couple of times, but she is trying to get this sorted.We cooked most of our meals in, and found the kitchen well equipped, and it was wonderful sitting under the grape arbor with a glass of wine every afternoon! We will definitely book again when we head up island in the future!

Ocean view garden property

We really enjoyed the location, quick access to an ocean side trail which we walked a couple of times a day with our dog. The property has beautiful gardens with quiet nooks for sitting and reading or enjoying the view! The suite is very well designed and has everything you need!

Great spot to access world class mountain biking

We had a wonderful stay at the Sandpiper! Wonderful location, close to a large mountain biking network! We really appreciated the clean and practical layout of the place. The sea view was stunning ! Beautiful, serene place close to everything

What a beautiful place to stay in a virtual paradise of flowers and plants, right on the water! The location was perfect, close to many towns, biking and had a walking trail in front of the property. I easily made some simple meals in the very clean and new kitchen to enjoy on the patio area overlooking the water. The host was very kind , as was Cleo, and I would stay there again anytime!

Comox Valley retreat

We had a lovely spring break getaway to Vancouver Island. Kate’s suite had everything we needed for our stay. Close to town and biking but it feels like you are in the country. We really enjoyed our stay and so did our dog! It is a very spacious, clean and well designed suite. It had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. The independent suite is new, immaculately clean with a living room and full kitchen and very comfortable king-size bed with a good choice of pillows. Stepping out the door and crossing the back yard takes you to a nice walking path by the water along the salt marches and to the remnants of an old logging terminal where a train would cross a tresle bridge onto a pier to allow logs to be dumped into the bay where the boom crews boomed the logs for the tugboats to tow the logs across the Straight of Georgia to Fraser Mills at New Westminster. An interesting history from the early 1900s.
