Stay beneath Serra da Estrela’s dark skies in the largest private suite at Lugar nas Estrelas, a certified Starlight Rural House. For up to five guests, it has one king bed, three single beds, a private bathroom, equipped kitchenette with Nespresso, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and heating. A travel cot, high chair, children’s dinnerware, books and toys are available. Enjoy the shared seasonal pool, garden, barbecue, fire pit, outdoor seating and telescope. Lugar nas Estrelas is in a quiet rural setting near Peso, Covilhã, surrounded by countryside and dark skies suited to stargazing. Shops, restaurants and the main attractions of Fundão and Serra da Estrela are best reached by car.

Access is through the property entrance gate. The suite has its own lockable door and key, and the reservation includes a remote control to open and close the gate. Free parking for the suite is available inside the property.

The 50 m² suite has a private entrance, one king bed and three single beds, including a mezzanine reached by stairs. The private bathroom and kitchenette are exclusively for the guests on the reservation. The kitchenette includes Nespresso, fridge, microwave, stove, toaster and kettle. Wi-Fi, air conditioning and heating are provided. The seasonal pool, garden, barbecue, fire pit, outdoor seating and telescope are shared with guests from the other two suites.

A car is recommended. Free parking is available inside the property. The suite is approximately 15 minutes from Fundão, 20 minutes from Cortes do Meio and 40 minutes from the highest point of Serra da Estrela.

The mezzanine is reached by stairs and the pool is not fenced. Pets must remain on a lead in shared areas. Please observe quiet hours after 10pm. There is no team on site 24 hours a day; assistance is provided by message.

Peaceful and relaxing

We had a nice and restful stay at Ursa Maior. The place is very relaxing and peaceful. Our daughter loved sleeping in the upper floor! We enjoyed our stay very much. If I have one thing to point out is that the pool was not that clean but maybe it was because on the week prior to our stay the weather was rainy.
