This place is not a resort by any stretch of imagination. It says “On beach” in About this Property. There is no beach. You have to either cross the street or go through a tunnel to reach the other side which is on the water. There is a small area by which you can get into the water, but there is no beach as the terrain is very rocky. There is no WiFi or coffee maker available in the room. This is something very basic that even low end hotels in the US provide. There is coffee available in the lobby but even that is sporadic and not available all the time. The rooms themselves make you feel that you are in a Motel 6. Very low quality towels and a small/tiny bottle of shampoo and a tiny bar soap. Staff is not very helpful or pleasant and many barely speak any English. Food is not anything to write about either. Even if this place sounds like a good deal I would not waste any money here.

The hotel itself was quite modest in terms of its look and feel. The staff, barring a few, were mostly rude and unhappy. The rooms & beds were pretty small and the toiletries were poor quality. Worst of all, the food was sub-standard and pathetic, as was the quality of alcohol - the only palatable meal was breakfast which was basically freshly made eggs and fruits for us. They used to run out of bottled water every day and asked us to refill older bottles. We have stayed in several all-inclusive hotels over the years, but this one has to rank as the worst experience ever and surely not recommended.

The location was great, taking a tunnel under the main street to the beach area and snorkeling right from there. We snorkeled as far south as the ferry pier a few times, was very convenient. We borrowed the included bikes and went about 2 miles south (to the marina) and pretty far north as well. Very nice to walk 4-8 blocks to two grocery stores and the main square. You can catch a cab right in the parking lot. We took a cab most days for scuba and they were all friendly and charged the expected rate. The food here is buffet style, it is clean and well prepared but not very interesting. Same for the drinks, it's pretty much the all inclusive basics and nothing special. The shows were also pretty average. That said for the price you can't expect much more. You can take those savings and go elsewhere for a luxurious meal or a drink you might post a picture of on insta. Everyone seemed pretty happy with the resort, and many people in the hot tub were return visitors. If you are a foodie, or want pictures of food for whatever, this isn't the place. Also, no drinks (alcohol or otherwise) in the room fridge, or snacks for that matter, but the grocery is right down the street.

Very good location, 10 minutes from the airport, good friendly staff and services, good snorkeling location, some staff in food court has some attitude issues, front end manager and staff are very helpful, they were able find my lost sunglasses, good housekeeping staff and service, Beware of the services at the lobby- especially the car rental service, very bad customer service , the rep name louis- he is very conning, try to cheat us with the service, then cancelled the car, we lost day, I never recommend the car rental in the lobby, the place need good renovations to attract the customers, and good entertainments,

It was good! I think management of expectations is important, it is very, very small. No complaints about the room, AC worked great, but it’s very no frills. Not a lot of food variety but it was good food. Pleasant staff, convenient location. If you like a bigger resort with lots of food options, this won’t be for you. In one week the restaurant was only open once leaving only the buffet. Great for divers/snorklers.

We are frequent guests of this property. This stay was pretty typical... amazing staff, great pool, very enjoyable "beach" area. Anybody that's looking for a budget friendly place to stay, that's an easy walk to great shopping and restaurants while also offering a super friendly and accomodating staff, should def consider Hotel Cozumel & Resort. We'll be back in February!

The staff was very courteous and helpful. The building and grounds were kept clean and in good order. The food was good and the selection was adequate. The rooms facing the street are a bit noisy from the traffic at night. They also take care of insect and vermin pests as I did not see any. There is no beach to speak of as the water gets deep right away, but there is easy access to wonderful snorkeling or diving. I would stay at the Cozumel Hotel and Resort if I visit Cozumel again.

What a lovely trip! All of the staff were friendly & helpful if needed. Our room was spotless on check in and when cleaned during the day was always supplied with plenty of towels and soaps if needed. The food was pretty good, and drinks were always amazing. Especially loved the walkway across to the beach and buffet area. We took part in some of the daily activities and night entertainment and really enjoyed the staff running those events welcoming everyone in to play. Can’t wait to visit again

The food quality was only fair. The food options at the buffets were repetitive. Basically the same limited options everyday. It’s an older Cozumel classic, we tried it due to the close location to town. Will not be back.
