Great staff, beach is awesome and private. Safe. Child and dog friendly , cozy bed. Great view from 4th floor balcony. Breakfast had many choices. Dinner and lunch great menu. I planned on four days and stayed 8 Options for food across street were good. Short ride to town. I’d stay here again and will.

I do not regret booking my stay at this hotel! It was beautiful, the staff was amazing, very polite and caring , they really know how to take care of their guests. Breakfast was so delicious and they had so many options! Their private beach access was perfect! As well and the bar outside, especially the staff member out there named Darwin, he was a very kind and respectful man.This place is definitely a 10/10 recommendation!

We've vacationed at Playa Azul over a dozen times over the years and we absolutely love staying there! This was our second visit this year. The beach area and snorkeling are first rate! Plenty of shaded seating and the tiki bar is right there (Great Drinks & the Beer is COLD). The menu items are also first rate and you can't beat the breakfast bar! Great service, fantastic coffee, and plates made to order by the chef. Perhaps the main reason we keep going back is the wonderful staff! They are so friendly, accommodating, and dedicated to making your vacation fun and relaxing! On this trip, we took my daughter's family with us that included two teenage granddaughters. They had an absolute blast, jet skiing, snorkeling, and hanging out by the pool. The Hotel wifi worked great so they could post photos to their friends. We highly recommend vacationing at Playa Azul to anybody! We can't wait to go back next year!

This is an older hotel, but it had everything we needed. The included breakfast is amazing with lots of variety. The property is right on the beach with beautiful views. The toiletries smelled really good. The staff was very friendly. They also gave us a welcome drink upon arrival. You can book snorkel and dive trips on site. The only negatives were that the hotel is a little dated and the water pressure in the shower is low. If you stay here, note that the water in the shower takes a while to get hot. Overall, we had a great time and would stay here again. The price is right for what you get.

Tropical elegance beachfront resort! We loved staying at Playa Azul Cozumel. From the excellent, friendly staff and the amazing large room with a jacuzzi to the beautiful beach and delicious food from both restaurants on the resort, we had the best romantic vacation! We will definitely come back! The resort was very quite, mostly couples and families. They had two open air restaurants. One was smaller and served the best hot breakfast (omelets prepared for you, and a hot buffet with mexican and american breakfast offerings), the breakfast buffet was included for us. They also served lunch and dinner too. The large open air restaurant had bands where you could dance and they had the best lime soup (myan recipe). The pool was just the right size and there was a children's pool too with a small playground. Our room was on the first floor, so we had easy access to the pool and beach. I loved the natural tropical surroundings of the resort. The beach was on the small side, but the resort had plenty of sand, palm umbrellas, and beach lounge chairs. The beach was the perfect place to watch an amazing sunset.

This place is older but it’s absolutely beautiful. The private beach is stunning . The snorkeling was outstanding and right in front on this hotel. The food was delicious, the lobster restaurant right across from it has live music and amazing food. The key lime factory is right across the street as well; it was so yummy. I would highly recommend Playa Azul.

Hidden Jewel in Cozumel

Wonderful place with very small rocky beach. The staff makes everything possible to take care of whatever you need. at the restaurant the attention is very competent and friendly.

Playa Azul has a small beach with a beach bar and pool. It’s located between the Westin and Islands beach club. If you are like us and want the same quality of food and beaches as the Westin, but don’t want to pay for it,Playa is the place for you. Clean, quiet, friendly service, our room had a great view. We liked our beach better for the snorkeling we did every day (beach is rocky). Recommend and would stay again

Attractive Mexican fountain at entrance not working. Poor first impression. Peaceful Old hotel, pealing paint ,cracks eveywhere. Good bar/food service at beach. Restaurant nothing special. Better restaurant across street.Breakfast included a plus. Attentive breakfast staff.Daily room cleaning good. No laundry service. Front desk ignorant of where to take dirty clothes.Not luxury but not too expensive either.Great snorkeling.

The hotel was fantastic. Expedia gave us a price of %107 and then added a $40 cleaning fee. It's a damn hotel. Expedia gets worse and worse.

The beach and the snorkelling. The room was very spacious and clean. A great little place to stay, would definitely come back! The turtles are so amazing!! Make sure you feed them as well!
