Some of the best beaches on the east coast, relaxing surroundings
Legendary beaches, unspoilt wilderness, small town charm, Crescent Head is far enough from Sydney or Brisbane for it to be unspoiled in perpetuity. A extremely relaxing place to spend time and slow down.
The house is perfectly located close to town, surfing, beaches, eating options, bushwalks. Short walk to everything.
A safety tips: The trampoline is only to be used if you accept or risk and liability.
It’s a character house, hand built, but not modern, so please keep that in mind. It’s got a jungle like garden, so there is wildlife.

Great location
We arrived to find the cleaners had not been since the last guests vacated so it wasn't a great start. Amy from Elders was great and rectified the situation a few hours later. The bbq didn't work that night so the owner sent a new one the next day - much appreciated. The hot water ran out mid stay as there was a problem with the gas bottle, but this too was rectified 24 hours later. The smoke alarms went off at 9.30pm and we couldn't turn them off... If I owned the house, I would remove all the old carpet and give the whole place a deep clean. The driveway is challenging - not for the faint hearted! There were many positives - the private garden is lovely, the outdoor shower is beautiful and the beach view is gorgeous. Crescent Head is a spectacular part of NSW, we loved the beaches and the vibe.

Perfect place for a crescent head getaway for family of five
We enjoyed our short break in Crescent head. Unfortunately it was raining most of our stay. However the water was still warm and we did lots of walks along the beaches. The house is private, was as described, close to the cafes and we loved sitting out on the deck.

Chilled out beach house
The house is very easy to relax in, we spent most our time on the deck enjoying the amazing view of the beach and the lagoon. The kitchen was well appointed and cooking was a breeze. The kids loved their rooms and the toys in the lounge room. The dogs were happy. Unfortunately we didn’t bring our own bed linen and towels as was stated in the listing, but Scot was not only quick to respond to my email but was happy for us to use his family’s personal linen, which was much appreciated. The beach was a 2min walk away and we enjoyed floating around in the lagoon. All in all a wonderful place to stay. Thanks for having Scot.

Great location with beautiful view
Property suits 4 people comfortably . I would think 8 people would be very tight with 1 toilet and limited dining / deck chairs
It would be good to have some matching functional crockery and a good supply of glasses
Great location and loved sitting on the deck watching the ocean.
Laundry facilities are great
We enjoyed our stay , thank you

A little piece of paradise
This is a great house in an amazing location and Scot is kind enough to share it with us. If chilled out beach houses with amazing views are your thing, you’ve come to the right place. This house has everything you need, just bring a bag of clothes and relax. You can enjoy a barbecue and watch the waves while the kids jump on the trampoline or play in the backyard, or just have dinner with family or friends after a day’s surfing. It’s the perfect relaxing getaway. We will be back.

Cold Times in Crescent
Crescent Head is a great spot but there are better properties than this if you choose to visit. While it's an older house, it would be more user friendly with a House Manual explaining how to work the oven, how to turn the hot water system on, etc. It's great that this place is pet friendly and while the private garden is nice, it is not secure so you can't leave them in the yard. Pets need to stay on a wooden balcony. For me this meant I couldn't leave them alone because they couldn't go to the bathroom. The gas tank ran out and so we couldn't have hot showers nor use the stove top for the last few days. Took a day and a half before it was going to be addressed by which time we'd had enough. Most frustrating was the response of the agent managing the property... We had to chase up to get hot water. Felt as though we were difficult for wanting hot showers. Disappointing unfortunately!

The property is a bit run down
The property is in need of a bit of attention. For example, two of the blinds in the main bedroom have been largely removed, as has the one in the dining area. The lighting is poor. The carpets could do with a thorough steam clean.
The driveway is very steep, and it is very difficult to back out. The property is advertised as “pet friendly”, but is not fenced, and hence a dog could run out onto Dulconghi Street.
It is disappointing that there is no wi-fi.
On the positive side, the kitchen is very modern and has a good range of appliances and utensils. But it is here that the quirky lighting is most ineffective. The pantry in particular is in poerpetual darkness.
The photograhed slow combustion stove seems to be decorative only, and two of the provided heaters were hard to operate - we failed to rise to this challenge.

Pleasant Creso Stay
It was a great location and quite comfortable and we enjoyed out stay there, however the place is a little 'tired' and need of some maintenance.
