Hotel was very clean and the lady on reception was very welcoming when we arrived. The hotel is like a motel-type place. It's very expensive for what it is. But I guess you're paying for the location and peak summer season. It was very quiet at night. You could hear people talking in rooms next door and we thought that might be a problem at night but everyone was quiet at night (most people seemed to be staying for a rest stop on the West Highland Way so they (and us) were early risers). Parking is great - right next to the lodges. The bathroom was very 80s in decor but was clean and smelled nice. There was no hairdryer in the room (which was annoying because I purposely left mine at home because it specifically said hairdryers in the rooms) - you could ask at reception to borrow one but I didn't because that seemed like a faff. So I had to go out with wet hair both mornings.

Groot huis in het groen met een zeer complete keuken en twee zeer moderne badkamers. Twee slaapkamers met heerlijk bedden en daarnaast een soort inpandig prieeltje waarin je met minder weer toch een beetje het idee hebt dat je in de grote, omheinde tuin zit. Een mix van modern en authentiek. Zeer schoon. Het huis ligt aan de doorgaande weg maar daar heb je geen last van. Van hieruit kun je de wijde omgeving ontdekken, al is alles wel een eindje rijden. Vriendelijke ontvangst.
