This 4 bedroom Historic Salt Box vacation home is steeped in history & character while nestled in quiet community of Crow Head , Twillingate. It is fully equipped with all the amenities of home. This four bedroom vacation home has one queen bedroom on the lower level with ensuite bath, along with one queen and two double bed with shared bath on the upstairs level.
It has a large front deck with BBQ overlooking the North Atlantic Ocean.
From the front deck you may even get a glimpse of an Humpback whale as it breaches the ocean while migrating south with other whale pods.
Icebergs can also be seen in season (May- July). There is access to the local beach just across the street.
This is the ideal location to settle in for a relaxing stay with your family

Story Teller's Retreat is located in Crows Head NFLD. It is close to hiking trails, look out points, two beaches for rock collecting and ocean glass searching. It is close to Twillingate and all its amenities. Check in was seamless, communication was easy, Ford responded quickly to questions about the area and the rental unit. The house is historic and sleeps 8. There is a cozy living area where you can watch TV or play games. The area is quiet and the sleeps were solid and peaceful. The wind from the ocean was fierce and the temperatures were on the colder side this spring. But that didn't matter as the memories we made together as a family were priceless.

Cozy Stay in a Beautiful Place

We stayed with our family including grandparents and small children. They had a pack and play available for us on request. The bedrooms were a little small, but that's what you get in these lovely older houses. We had a great time and would recommend a stay here to anyone!

Nice location in Crow Head next to Twillinggate

We loved the location. The beds were comfortable. We had one problem with TV connection - someone had changed the TV connection and left the wrong cable in- probably for a game- anyway we figured it out and evetually were able to get Netflix for a movie. Our favorite part of Twillingate was the icebergs we went to see on the Iceberg Quest Tour which was definately the best boat tour in town.

A lovely old place in Crow Head

This property was exactly as expected and worked great for 2 couples. We liked the Crow Head area about a 7 minutes drive from Twillingate. Great views and a close few minutes drive to the Lighthouse. Saw one iceberg out the kitchen window. The home is older inside again, as expected but so comfortable and clean.

Beautiful spot in Twillingate.

Beautiful spot only a few minutes from the town of Twillingate overlooking the ocean. The Salt Box house was lovely. Also had excellent communication with the owner. Definitely would stay there again.

Great location near Long Point Lighthouse and Twillingate. Icebergs in Twillingate Bay and Nanny's Hole near the house. The kitchen had everything we needed. Very quiet. Ocean view.

Perfect Saltbox Home

This home was great for our family of 6. Four bedrooms allowed everyone to enjoy their own space and then the kitchen/dining and living room had room for all of us to sit down to meals and watch TV. Great views and a nice beach to walk on.

Cosy house.

We visited Twillingate/ Crow Head at the end of May. Luckily we arrived in good weather and got out in a boat to see the icebergs. Amazing trip. Bring layers and sturdy shoes. The house is like visiting Grandma’s. Very cosy, warm and comfortable. The beds were great. All the appliances worked. We had everything we needed. The beach is beautiful. A short walk 100m. Twillingate is fun. Get screeched in W-Sunday at The Captains Pub. Shed Party was hilarious.

Quiet GetAway
