Last night a motorcycle club was allowed to park their bikes around the front entrance under the guest bedrooms. Some of these folks revved and gunned their bikes until past 1am. They finally stopped about 2am. If their bikes had been parked away from the building it wouldnt have been so bad. But they were really inconsiderate of people trying to sleep. The other two nights I stayed were nice. Last night was terrible.

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Dallas – Farmers Branch on Luna Road, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment I walked in, the hospitality was top-notch. The front desk staff were warm, welcoming, and of course, handed me one of those famous DoubleTree cookies — a perfect start to a great stay. The room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable. The bed was cozy, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like quality toiletries, a spacious desk, and plenty of outlets for charging my devices. My room also had a fantastic view of the lake, which made for a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient — close to both DFW Airport and downtown Dallas, but tucked away enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. I especially liked the nearby walking trails and how easy it was to get around the area. Amenities were excellent. The pool area was clean and relaxing, and the on-site restaurant served a delicious breakfast with plenty of options. The fitness center was also well-equipped for a hotel gym. Overall, this is one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in the Dallas area. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, I highly recommend the DoubleTree Farmers Branch. The service, comfort, and attention to detail truly stand out. I’ll definitely be returning!

The hotel sits beside a beautiful lake, which makes for a relaxing setting. The property felt quiet during our weekend stay, with little activity in the lobby, restaurant, or bar. We were assigned to a handicap-accessible room, which came with a larger shower but no countertop and very poor lighting. The biggest disappointment was the view—our window overlooked a service area instead of the lake, even though the hotel was clearly not full. Dinner at the bar was decent; the brisket tacos had good flavor but were a bit fatty. The highlight of our stay was Troy, the bartender, who always delivers outstanding service and cocktails. His Colorado Bulldogs were the best we’ve had. Overall, the location and bar service were excellent, but the room assignment and overall experience left room for improvement.
