I often stay at the Mantra Esplanade as it is in a great location. There are building works happening around the pool and foyer at the moment. There are no Reception staff available late at night, so room keys are obtained by ringing a mobile and accessing a lock box. I had requested a 2 bedroom apartment (as booked) but was again allocated two connecting rooms. Lots of great dining options within 5 minutes walk.

I enjoy staying at the Mantra on Esplanade for the location and ocean view, even though the rooms are getting tired. This trip we booked a two bedroom apartment but instead were allocated two adjoining rooms. Would have preferred the apartment as advertised.

Amazed and very disappointed that I had only FTA TV stations. Have stayed in cheaper hotels that had Foxtel, YouTube, etc. I booked through Wotif but was directed to Expedia about some confusion re the booking/cancellation when our travel plans were rearranged due to the Stuart Hwy road closures. Dealing with the hotel and Expedia is not something I want to do again.

Views to ocean spectacular. Beautiful pool to spend time in. No dining experience avail. Room with balcony are great, roomy, comfortable and air-conditioning can get cold. Security of $200 with nothing in the room is pricey for locals.
