Island Time II - Gulf-view Beach House with Heated Pool Pet-friendly

Island Time II is a 4 bedroom beach house on Dauphin Island's West End beach with its own private, heated pool. This Dauphin Island vacation rental is a second row home on the Gulf of Mexico beach and has incredible Gulf views from nearly every room.

The house is placed at an angle to provide optimum views of the Gulf; there is a house ahead on the left and the right, but the house's placement provides a 60-foot wide direct view of the Gulf, only about a hundred feet away! Easily watch family and friends on the beach while relaxing on the shaded deck.

The property owners also upgraded several items during Winter 20/21, including the kitchen and bathroom counters, sinks, faucets, and deck rails. New owners and new improvements, enjoy!

This great Dauphin Island vacation rental books up fast, so please reserve your vacation soon! The pool is heated from October thru April.

Pool Heating Note: Pool temperature can vary during cooler months, as the system relies on outdoor air temperatures. In colder conditions (around 50°F), heating may be less effective or temporarily unavailable (45°F and below), and it can take up to 24 hours to reach the desired temperature when weather allows.

1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.

5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.

Our stay at this home was the first time in over 15 years we were able to vacation with all 4 kids and 3 of their significant others together! It was a meaningful and memorable experience we enjoyed together in this charming Beach House! The home was very clean, with plenty of towels, blankets and a lovely little heated pool! The location is absolutely wonderful, located on Dauphin Island, literally steps from the beach. Check in was a little delayed as I never received the check in info by text or email. I was able to reach the after hours assistant who was a lively lady and very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had with the house was with windows. The bedroom with the bunkbeds, we were unable to open them. The window frame in the entryway was cracked when we arrived, and seeing how it slammed open when we unlocked the window I could understand why it was cracked. Unfortunately my oldest son was not aware the window was not in good working order, nor was he aware he needed to hold onto the window when unlocking it. Subsequently the window slammed open on his left “pinky” finger, resulting in a crush injury. The property management team was very prompt to respond to our communication and sent someone out right away to secure the window. A small damper on an otherwise incredible experience and wonderful stay! Very nice house, GREAT POOL, and wonderful location with a beautiful view of the ocean. Great management team!

Excellent location. Great to have a small private pool. The vrbo host was great-there was no hairdryer at the house and it was listed as an item there so we contacted vrbo and they immediately got a hairdryer for us. Very great host Thank You VRBO!!

This house was perfect for our family! I have always wanted a house on the beach and this one did not disappoint! The pool was just perfect! Dauphin Island will most definitely be our new vacation destination. The laid back atmosphere was just what we needed. We can’t wait to come back!

First time to Dauphin Island

The property is as pictured. We had a 13 month old with us and the wooden deck was a concern. Deck railing was missing a spindle and several were loose. We called maintenance and they came the next day. The deck in general needs repaired. The pool was perfect to cool off in, although small, it met our needs. The location of the property was exactly what we wanted. The island does lack in the number of places to eat, that may or may not matter to you. Keep in mind if thinking of coming to the island. Of my two adult children, one commented that it was his favorite place ever (fishing on the beach and not going far to eat) while my daughter was disappointed in the amount of restrurant selections (she is a foodie). If you want a very chill, laid back vibe, this place is for you! I would have given 5 stars, but the deck and railing are a concern.

Dauphin Island Vaca 2024

Very disappointing. Upon arriving, the water side deck of the home needs replacing. Screws sticking up. My son in law put his foot through a rotten deck board and my grandson cut his foot on a screw sticking up. Screens on the sliding doors torn and hanging. Floors in bedrooms were dirty. Empty water bottle and popcorn underneath bed in bunk room. Coffee pot dirty. Master shower leaked the entire time and when we used the garbage disposal, a clamp came off and shot water all over the floor. Main bathroom stool was very dirty. There were 10 of us and 4 face towels. They did deliver more face towels. There are previous reviews about the deck, shower leaking, and the ceiling in the bunk room that haven't been addressed. I understand about salt water and the toll it takes on a home, but being dirty is unacceptable. Maintenance did come and repair the rotten board. Looked at the shower and looked at the garbage disposal. Didn't fix the shower, and the we had already fixed the GD because of the water leaking.

Family weekend on Dauphin Island, AL

Beautiful home close to the beach with beautiful views of the ocean. The kitchen and living area are nicely laid out. Overall the kitchen is well stocked. The living room furniture is comfortable. The beds are super comfy. Every room has a TV and a ceiling fan. 3 of the bedrooms open onto the deck. LOVED the pool on the deck!!!! Plenty of space and furniture on both decks. My only suggestion would be to update some cookware, and storage containers in the kitchen and update the sheets. We have stayed at several beach houses on DI over the years, we would stay here again.

House is right on beach it looks nice inside although looks like one of the bedroom ceilings needs to have drywall finished. The outside decking was a little rough don’t go without shoes. Overall was a nice relaxing stay house was well equipped with about everything you need.

Great pet friendly home

We had a great time staying here. The house was very nice. Loved, the deck, pool, view & location. So nice to stay somewhere where dogs are allowed on the beach & everyone we came in contact with obeyed the leash rules & cleaned up after their pets, that's usually hard to find! The location of the house is great, beautiful views from deck and pool and so close to the beach. We would definitely stay here again!!

It looks like it has been remodeled recently, so it looks really nice. Love that the living room and three of the bedrooms has its own sliding glass doors straight to the deck. The pool was great. Contacted for an issue and someone came out immediately to fix it. Service is definitely fast and friendly.

Loved this place!

This house was perfect for us! The location, the pool, the house itself! All amazing! My only slight complaint was the water pressure in the guest bathroom wasn’t too great and the shower door in the master bathroom doesn’t want to stay shut but those are both pretty minor things. We loved this place and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone and we will definitely be coming back! 10 out of 10 recommend!!!

Wonderful beachfront vacation

The home itself is nice and the view of gulf, spectacular. Loved the heated pool. Very relaxing. The home was exactly as depicted in the listing, and overall we enjoyed our vacation here. A few downsides to our experience was the cleanliness should have been better. There was dust and dirt under the master bed and an apparently used dental floss stick thingy under the bed as well. Definitely hadn't been cleaned under there. The coffee table had dried ketchup on it, and the outside patio table had what looked to be cooked Ramen noodles all over it. There were still floats and goggles on the deck area and a ladies hair tie on the deck from previous guests. Made us feel the place was not very well cleaned. The remote to the TV in the living room did not work so you had to change the channels and volume on the TV itself. The shower door in the master bath would not latch. No way to take a shower in there without water getting on the bathroom floor so we showered in the farther bathroom in the hall. The water never really got comfortably hot in that shower. Not sure why. Also we were so careful to lock up each time we left the house, only to discover when checking out, that the sliding glass door in the "yellow room" was broken and had not been latched or locked our whole stay. There was a stick... too short to keep an intruder from opening the door... behind the sliding door in that yellow room. Why not just fix the latch?? One final thing, it turned cold our last night, in the 50s. Apparently the heat was not working properly. We woke up cold and the temp would only go 60 and no warmer. There were no instructions for the dishwasher and we could never get it to start. Because the location was great and the house was exactly what we were looking for, we would possibly stay here again if the negatives were addressed and improved.

Beautiful beach house

Property and house were beautiful and well maintained. Nicely decorated. Had everything we needed. Pool was great! Housekeeping didn’t finish until about 3:30 so we had to wait was the only downfall but made the best of it.

Fabulous location. Liked that the kitchen was pretty well stocked. Toilet paper quality was very poor. Not enough hand towels and had no kitchen towels or wash cloths when we arrived. Company delivered one towel and two clothes for nine day stay. Yes wash machine was there but more towels were expected.. The floor of the pool and patio area need repaired sooner than later.. very weak spots. The patio table was a.great surprise. High chairs were great to see ocean while sitting down. The pool was so much fun to have. Loved that there were floor fans if needed. New skillets are .needed.
