Comfortable great room with big fireplace & lots of seating. Pillows were too hard but beds were comfortable . Had breakfast across the street at cafe. Dined on patio..everyone's meals were very good.

The Spearfish Canyon lodge was excellent. Everything you need is right there. Fabulous restaurant, great bar and wonderful staff. We enjoyed the lodge feel. Nice outdoor area. Easy to get to hiking trials to waterfalls.

Lovely lodge

Beautiful location, friendly staff, two nice rooftop hot tubs, a great restaurant on site, comfortable rooms. Multiple hikes to waterfalls on site or a very short drive away. The only things to know ahead of time—1) there are two floors but no elevator, 2) the water in our room smelled strongly of sulfur. I did not see that information in any of the reviews I read. Sulfur water is safe, it’s just kind of gross.

Beutiful location

It’s in a beautiful location. The facilities are outdated. The toilet is short with a cheap lid the showerhead stains and scarring on it from years of use the water hammered when I was showered, and after I drank the coffee I had severe stomach pains, perhaps from the heavy iron in the water as can be seen in the shower tub.

What a spectacular hotel in a gorgeous setting. The staff are friendly and made us feel very welcomed. Clearly dog lovers too with treats on arrival for my boy. The restaurant is amazing too.

It's very clean and the location is very beautiful. Some what pricey on food and snack items. But the Staff was very courteous and helpful. We had dinner at the restaurant across from the Lodge the staff was very awesome. Food was delicious even though it was expensive.

I enjoyed my time at Spearfish Canyon. I got lucky and had a two night day in between two rush periods during the summer. The only drawback I saw was the walls are on the thin side and any conversations, which luckily it wasn’t busy, in the hallway can be heard through throughout the room. Other than that, it was beautiful surroundings, fabulous room, enjoyed it.
