We loved our night at Spearfish Lodge. It’s the most adorable property. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable. There are several trails you can access from the property. Our grandson learned to play checkers at one of the tables in lobby. Loved that they had a fire going in the evening and morning. Dinner at their restaurant across the street was delicious and the cinnamon rolls we bought to go were amazing. Great place to stay!

The lodge and all the workers were very respectful, helpful and attentive. They made our stay (7 nights) amazing. The Latchstring restaurant had wonderful and tasty food. We ate breakfast everyday and had several dinners and ate a variety of starters and entrees. All very delicious! There was a stream behind the lodge with lots of fish to either watch or catch and several cool trails with amazing sites. If visiting the Spearfish, Deadwood, etc area, then I highly recommend a stay.

This place was a wonderful surprise! We’d stayed at a couple of not as nice properties the two nights before, and didn’t know what to except here. As son as we pulled up to Spearfish Canyon Lodge, we knew we had lucked out. The setting is gorgeous, and the lodge is very welcoming. It is beautifully decorated, and the ladies at the front desk were so nice. I was going to put that the one negative is that there’s no ice machine, but the folks at the pub are so accommodating in filling up your ice bucket. So I have nothing negative to mention!
