If I could give this place 10 stars for peace and tranquility I certainly would. We appreciated that we could have our senior dog there who enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the local wildlife. We loved the coziness of the cabin and the nostalgia about the place such as the screened in porch with the wooden slamming screen door. We explored the local towns of Fryeburg and Bridgton nearby that offered some great food and shopping. The food was awesome at 302 West and the lobster roll was excellent at Fryes Pizza in Fryeburg. The Corn Shop Trading Company in Bridgton had everything you could want for a souvenir and Reny’s was a great shopping experience as well. The weather conditions couldn’t have been better until mid week when a cold front moved in and the temperature dropped by almost 20 degrees overnight. Here’s where things got a little concerning. We had to use the cabin electric baseboard heat to stay warm. Our concern was the extension cords over those baseboards. We did our best to prop them up out of the way but the thought of a potential fire just didn’t make for a good night’s sleep. This cabin appeared to be in the process of renovation and upgrading. The description on vrbo stated the bathroom was newly renovated in 2024 and while everything seemed clean, there was absolutely no electrical outlet or exhaust vent in there. This was a minor inconvenience for my husband and I but I couldn’t fathom this working for my kids and grandchildren. Needs more renovations
