4/10 Poor

Worst stay I’ve ever had at a Holiday Inn. The room was freezing, with the thermostat showing 60–61°F. I tried adjusting it up to 68°F, but nothing changed. When I told the front desk, I was informed the temperature was controlled by central AC. They promised me a personal heater, but it took two days to arrive and then malfunctioned for the rest of my stay.
The noise was terrible—I could hear everything from the rooms above and beside me. The linens had a strange odor, and the hot water in the shower took nearly 10 minutes to get warm. I know it’s Denver and the weather can be cold, but outside temperatures were in the 70s, so there was no excuse for the room being this uncomfortable.
Whether it was the cold, the smelly sheets, or the constant noise, I couldn’t sleep more than two hours at a time. I left the hotel exhausted and just wanted to go home. Although the staff was friendly, nothing was done beyond offering apologies to actually make my stay better.
