Corredor de Almansa accommodation from NZ$158

The Parador is on the edge of the town with easy access from the A road. We parked at the Parador and checked in, we had wonderful rooms overlooking the gardens with a lovely shaded balcony and a great pod coffee machine. We spent a while alternately listening to birdsong and the sound of military jets from the nearby airbase, home to the Spanish equivalent of 'Top Gun'. The reason we'd chosen Albacete, other than it being a convenient stop on the way home, was the Botanic Gardens. These opened at 7PM so we had dinner at the Parador - delicious veal burgers whilst sat on the terrace - before we drove the short distance to the gardens. The rooms were amazingly quiet considering how close the main road was and the bird sone was far more noticeable than the traffic. Breakfast was, as always with Paradors, fabulous. An excellent value stay and certainly a place I'd return to.

Enjoyed my stay there, staff very courteous and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

Completely fine hotel, no complaints but also nothing helping it stand out. Above a gas station so not particularly glamorous, but didn’t bother me at all.
