The hotel is located on a very steep slope with many steps to reach it, so it is definitely not suitable for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues. However, the view was amazing, looking down over the valley of Mesopotamia.
Our room rate included breakfast, but unfortunately my son has a gluten allergy, so he could not eat any bread and the breakfast choices were already quite limited. When we asked if they could prepare some fried potatoes (chips) for him instead, we were told there would be an extra charge. They ended up charging nearly £6 for a portion of chips, which is one of the most expensive chips I have ever paid for.
Considering we had already paid for breakfast as part of the room rate, and my son could not eat the bread options available, it was disappointing that they still charged such a high price instead of accommodating a guest with an allergy.
Because of this experience, I will give this property a 3-star review and would not stay here again. It is not about the money — it is about the principle. It is a shame that for the sake of £6 they could not accommodate a guest with dietary allergies.
