We had an amazing stay here, it really does add to the whole safari experience as you feel completely out in the middle of the jungle. One night at dinner we even heard the warning call of deer nearby that the staff told us meant a leopard was near too, truly a once in a lifetime dining experience. With this being more of a glamping like experience you do need to be prepared to have some bugs in the room. The bathrooms are also a little bit rough and ready with some signs of wear but again being in the middle of nature this is to be expected and it still does feel like a luxury glamping experience. The staff and food were brilliant and the dinner setting is one I won’t forget! The location is very private and it really sets up your safari from minute one. Each lodge is incredibly private and not overlooked at all, this makes for a very peaceful escape. It is about a five minute drive from the gates to Wilpattu national park which saves you some extra time in bed for the early morning safari start which is an added bonus.

I just stayed one night but was super well and kindly looked after by Christopher and the team. The area is a little more remote than I realised so worth planning ahead for that, but it's really peaceful and full of wildlife – 100% worth venturing out for! The villas are really nicely done up, modern and super comfortable. Definitely recommend as an excellent nature base.
