Lots of walkable dining options. The room itself was fine, but everything felt kind of grimy and worn down. Did not appear to be handicap accessible - lots of stairs both up and down, which was strange.

My daughter and I were in town for a concert and I chose this hotel based on the location to the Arena. It was very close and convenient. It is an older property but it was clean and pretty well maintained. The beds were clean and comfortable and the bathroom was clean, the room itself was on the smaller side but still big enough for 2 people easily.The breakfast options were pretty good and the staff was very nice. I would stay here again if I were in town for an event.

Detroit stay for Tigers games

My partner and I recently stayed at the Baymont twice so we could see a couple of Tigers games. Our stay was 22/23 August, 2025 and 24/25. The mattresses we slept on were firm and great for my bad back. Monterey was a fabulous host.
