Room not ready by 4 for check in , ready at 5pm. Then we got down graded from original room booked to a single queen room. Was told it was a king and that a $50.00 food voucher would be given and it was not. For staff to say we are full and blame housekeeping was not right. It’s the hotel managements issue and they should be cleaning and making sure rooms are ready and on time. But management had no issue greeting their guests and ensuring their room was ready and on time. Will not be using this MGM again. Wait lines for the elevators were not pleasant either. Seats in the casino bar dirty- need to clean or replace fabric. Then to increase the room rates to triple the normal rates as crazy. Spent it and won’t return. 1st time to stay in Detroit and I know now to do my research. I thought the MGM was the hotel to stay at……
