Well like I said the sofa bed my son slept on needs to be renewed. It was a step up from the other Sonesta simply suites hotel I've gone to do many times their sofa beds looked like a frier and a murder happened and the treat their guess like dirt. But his Sonesta ES hotel the staff was very nice. However, I was extremely upset at the hidden fee of 150.00 deposit I had to pay that I was not aware of and I had already paid for my room. This was the second time I was hit with hidden fees that hotels.com did not have listed in the booking. I don't like that. Start mentioning hidden fees so the customer is not railroaded it going to cause people to stop using your app.

The rooms were not clean - had to kill several flies. Cannot control guests but upstairs guest s kept us up most of the night. Paid too much for the condition of the property

The staff was accommodating & friendly. No issues with them. The carpet in our room wasn’t clean to our satisfaction & the furniture was quite tattered & dingy. Early morning Construction noise was very uncomfortable.

This is our second time staying and it was good both times. They are actively improving and remodeling. Staff is always professional and friendly. I would say adding fresh fruit like strawberries, berries or even pineapple what's ever is in season to the breakfast menu would be a treat. Keep up the good work. We will likely see you next year.

Horrible experience

The property had either a defective card reader or a defective employee. Four separate holds were placed on my card for the room deposit and now I have to wait who knows how long for it to be released back to me. Secondly there was one remote for two tvs and it didn’t have batteries. There were two phones in the suite and neither worked. The cooking space was dirty. The refrigerator was dented up in several places and dirty in the outside. And there was dust everywhere.

I called and talked to one of the front desk people and I told her that we will arrive late. When we arrived around 4 am in the morning due to the long drive and the traffic in Chicago areas. When we arrived at the hotel the front desk person couldn’t check in for us till about 1 hour later. At first, we were told that our room had been canceled due to late arrival. I had to call Expedia to change the date in order for her to check our room for us. It was my first time experiencing this problem. We’re disappointed how it happened. I hope they would be made it easier customers their customers.

-Called to confirm booking. -Not informed pool was closed -Not informed major construction on site -Urine soaked pull out bed -No bedding bag -Hotel face cloths ripped and should’ve been discarded -Residents? Playing basketball outside our room at 10:30pm? -Last time I booked at this hotel, they claimed Hotels “sold me a room even though it was booked solid” -Tried giving them a second chance but they blew it tenfold!!
