We were really looking forward to our stay, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet expectations — especially for the price. The TV in our room didn’t work properly during our entire 48-hour stay. The maintenance lady was wonderful and came several times to fix it, but the issue kept happening again and again. She really did her best, but it just wouldn’t stay working. This all happened during the World Series, and as Canadians traveling, we were hoping to watch the game in the evening. Since the TV wasn’t working, we ended up having to pay for a streaming service on our phones just to tune in. We were told there would be some compensation for the inconvenience, but after checking out and prepaid, nothing was provided. It’s disappointing — not just because of the issue itself, but because the follow-through wasn’t there. A room change was only offered late into the second night, and since we were leaving early the next morning, we decided to stay put. Overall, the staff were kind, but for the cost of the stay, we expected working amenities and a bit more accountability in resolving the issue.

Stay was an overwhelmingly Meh. Didnt valet because the line was insane. Park at the Z garage around the corner. Lobby was dingy. You could tell upkeep is not a priority here. Staff/reception were new to hospitality, or just bad attitudes. DEI vibes with them. Room was small, but we knew that going in. Room and bathroom also poorly lit. Had a nice view on the 7th floor of the Opera House. Shower had a good bit of mold/mildew, especially noticeable on the glass block. Two in hotel bars looked OK, but small and way cramped. Oh yeah, bed/linens were fine.

Check in process was great. I know they are going for the ambiance, but the stuff they have spraying is so strong and being that I am very sensitive, it was very hard for me to breath it. It is also so dark in there that it borders on being annoying. The bed had lumps in it and the pillows felt like they were filled with air.

While the room was beautiful, The room darkening blinds curled around and left 3 in on each side to let a lot of light in which made it difficult to sleep. The shower never got warm enough to use The rain head at the ceiling was barely warm at the exit point but by the time it got down two or three feet to the person it was tepid at best
