Great location in downtown Detroit. The hot water in our room took 5 minutes to get hot. Nickel and dime you; for example, if you arrive one hour before check in valet service costs 21$ extra. Interesting old building: the Wurlitzer.

i like my martinis in very thin stemware and cold.

I am so glad to have booked a room at the Siren for 3 nights for my wife's birthday . Check-in was delightful. The lobby was not your interstate exit chain decor. The vehicle valet team were friendly. The room on the 12th floor had a queen sized comfortable bed, interestingly tiled room and shower, and a wonderful view, and perfect temperature control. Our car was ready with 10 min warning. There were no problems with many restaurants walkable distanced. When you walk in the front door, look up The renovators have left about 30 square feet of the pre-restoration ceiling uncovered. One can tell both how elegant it must have been in the 1920's and what a disaster it had become by 2017. Every time I glanced at that patch of ceiling I felt a sense of pride in staying at the Siren. It would be my first choice should I return to Detroit. And if I go to NYc, Providence, Baltimore, or Richmond I'll at least check out the ASH group's buildings.

staff and service and the brand storytelling is excellent! I have changed room for three times to avoid the noise from the street and also from the next building’s fan. The valet is 42$ per night and plus tips every time when they get your car. From price perspective, not really worth it.
