The Westin in Southfield is exactly like all the Marriotts, with one exception: the internet is spotty. This was confirmed by the front desk: the simply does not work throughout the hotel - and so I had NO internet in my room, which was very annoying and could have been quite serious had I not left the hotel early in the morning after one night there. Beware! No internet!

Everything was really nice, however my suggestion would be to change out the flyers and advertisement in the rooms, especially if they have been worn. Another suggestion would be to put a microwave in the rooms.

The room itself was clean and comfy, could use some updating in the bathroom, otherwise no complaints. However the hallway connecting the hotel to the parking garage needs to be desperately cleaned and the air conditioner does not have to be on -3 degrees. But other than that we enjoyed our stay.
