This historic Hungarian country house has been preserved by its German owners with great attention to detail in its original form and tastefully furnished. You’ll enjoy a picturesque, secluded location in the foothills of the Mecsek Mountains, on the edge of the forest. Thanks to the comfortable interior, the spacious outdoor area with a children’s play area and barbecue, and the petting zoo with tame ponies, this holiday home is ideal for a relaxing family holiday, as well as for hikers, cyclists, horseback riders, and anglers. It is located on the edge of a small, manageable community, beautifully situated in the heart of the wine region between Lake Balaton, Pécs (the 2010 European Capital of Culture), the Danube, and the “City of Flowers,” Kaposvár.

The house, which was last renovated in 2015, has a living area of 90 m² and is divided into three large double bedrooms, each with a private bathroom featuring a shower and toilet. The bedrooms are accessed separately through a cosy common area with comfortable seating. Its covered breakfast terrace leads you to the traditional summer kitchen in just three steps; this fully equipped kitchen is located in a separate part of the building. In the first bedroom, the “brass room,” you’ll sleep in a 180 cm x 200 cm double bed with nightstands on both sides. A sofa provides a place to relax in the evening. The TV with German channels provides entertainment. From this room, you enter a private bathroom with a toilet, glass shower stall, bathroom window, sink, and lighted mirror, as well as a makeup mirror. In the second bedroom, the “ Azul",, you’ll find a wellness waterbed, as well as satellite TV with German channels, electric blinds, and a bathroom with a shower and toilet, similarly equipped. The third bedroom, the “, features antique rustic furniture and a seating area. A television and a private bathroom are also standard in this room. The common area includes a cosy sofa by the light-filled bay window, as well as a lounge area with books and board games opposite the entrances to the bedrooms. Your private kitchen is located in the annex and is fully equipped for self-catering, featuring all standard appliances such as a dishwasher, a 4-burner glass-ceramic stove with oven, a coffee maker, a kettle, a toaster, and a bread box. A stereo system provides entertainment.

Freshly laundered bed linens and towels are included in the rental price. In addition, a washing machine and dryer are available. Therefore, the house is also suitable for a longer stay, where children can play outdoors to their heart’s content.

Starting in the spring of 2017, a newly built 6x3-metre pool will offer plenty of fun and refreshment on hot days.

Beautiful seating areas and lounge chairs nestled among fragrant fruit trees and various herbs on the large, fully fenced property surrounding the house invite you to spend time outdoors and let your mind wander. You can end the evening with a glass of the owner’s fine wine on the covered terrace. For those who enjoy barbecuing, there’s a new brick outdoor grill right next to the breakfast terrace, available for free use. Children can look forward to the small playground with a swing, a climbing wall, a slide, and a sandpit. Animal lovers can observe goats, sheep, woolly pigs, and chickens. You can truly enjoy the fresh, crisp forest air on a long walk through the surrounding vineyards. There are good opportunities for fishing and horseback riding in the area, as well as excellent restaurants serving Hungarian cuisine at very reasonable prices. Dogs are welcome everywhere, even in the house. Dog lovers will find a dog training area with exercise equipment just 100 metres away.

Shops are just one kilometre away for your convenience. For young and old alike, the Gunaras Spa and Wellness Centre—located just 5 km away—guarantees a pleasant way to cool off on hot days and enjoy relaxing moments during the colder months. A 55°C hot spring provides healing water rich in minerals, which is highly effective for treating a variety of ailments. The large wellness area, featuring thermal pools up to 38°C, various saunas, a whirlpool, a solarium, and many other amenities, promotes health and well-being.
