Good clean basic room. Comfortable and roomy (family room chosen for 1). A bit more guidance on adjusting heating in the room would have helped, unless you use this type of hotel (often) it wasn't obvious and it was cold until I worked out I could alter the heat myself, quite late on, on a chilly night. Other things needed guidance, how to exit the building where you sleep. I did like that the eatery was fairly close, it was very reasonable with a good classic collection of food options. Other options like McDonald's were cloes by, as was Aldi and B&M, so convenience was nearby. Not the prettiest location but I would stay there again for all the convenience of it, good food at the restaurant too and it ticked all the boxes for meeting up with friends I was in the area to see.

I stayed at the Kings Chamber to visit my son. It's very conveniently near motorways but also tucked away and quiet. It's right next to a shopping and food outlet area but I ate at the Marston's pub next door which has super friendly and efficient staff and a warm atmosphere. The staff at the hotel and pub are what pushed my stay up to 10 out of 10.

All of the staff where friendly and helpful. The room was large and clean but did not have any drawers therefore personal items had to be kept in a suitcase. The bathroom was in need of redecoration as the disabled facilities were old and rusted. The bathroom did not have any shelves. Housekeeping was excellent. The motel is ideally situated just off the motorway and has a McDonalds, KFC and pub next to it. The Kinds Chamber serves good food at reasonable prices. Parking is perfect.

The lady who checked us in was not friendly. Went to the bar to buy a bottle of water for my husband for his medication. She said the bar is closed and cant sell us a bottle of water. Sheddirected us to use the tap water in our roo.

For the price we had a comfortable enough stay, cosy bed and warm room. Pub staff were lovely , food was ok Only minor thing was we were not given enough towels , and there was no chain on the bathplug which would make it really challenging for someone with dexterity issues.

The ladies who get the room ready were extremely helpful and went and got us more coffee, milk and towels. Room was clean and extremely comfortable. We booked breakfast the next morning and the food was cooked fresh and was excellent. Will definitely be returning.

The Kings Chamber was an ideal location for me on this visit to the area. Thorne North railway station close by. My room was comfortable and clean and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts were good as were the evening meals. I would stay at the Kings Chamber again when in the area.
